That CV is why I'm surprised so many people in the COD thread are sleeping on this.

They practically gave us the next iteration of COD in Titanfall 2, yet people had to go and buy that instead. I'm still hoping word of mouth will spread and give this a long tail end sales wise.

I've mentioned a few times that these are the guys who made CoD into everything it became not to sound like a know it all or anything but for people to get on the Titanfall train as like you said, people appear to be napping. There are very few people who seem to know those two names and what they have done and the collective jerkoff over MW remastered just proves it.

I think the timing of Titanfall 2 is due to both EA and Activision the more I think about it. EA as a publisher just want to saturate the market with their own titles and try and take sales off their competitor, and Activision to bank on the fact that as far as the average gamer goes they associate MW with Infinity Ward and not Zampella/West/Respawn and they can take Titanfall 2's sales.

I just hope EA don't discontinue the franchise due to it tanking through no fault of Respawn.
 
Yeah I was all over TF1 because of the guys behind it.
It was the reason I bought an Xbox One first.

I rate it as the best online console shooter I've played.
TF2 is just as good without the smack to the face that the first gave me because of how well everything flowed.

I can't understand why anyone would choose COD over it personally. I hope EA succeed in changing the landscape of FPS games, EA have been doing good things recently which is surprising. (not that they're saints either)

If they do succeed we could also see COD actually change things up and make a decent game too which would be good for everyone.

Titanfall 2 is the best shooter I've played in ages, and is complete with all the customisation that the first game was missing.

Stat tracking is the last thing it needs IMO.

Art style for the maps is ****ing beautiful

Good to see Titanfall 2 being recognised. It certainly has the best FPS campaign I've played in years but I'd probably give GOTY to Overwatch. The MP was a genuine joy to play and they did a remarkable job creating a reasonably balanced game featuring so many different characters.
 
Sony started sending out targeted discount codes for this overnight, dropping the price to $57.

I'd probably jump on at that price but I didn't get one, so if anyone gets one and doesn't want to use it feel free to send it my way :D

I did get one, it's something like 43% off.

Haven't decided yet.
 
on another forum i'm in it's been stated that Target going to sell this for a f!@#in whopping $36 from 25/11. Unbelievable price that is. EA has sooo fukked up their timing with the release of this game

Yeah, given the response I've seen to that price I expect a real boost to numbers.

I see EA are cutting prices on Origin as well, this is a good move to get those people to jump on now who may be tired of BF1 or COD.

I'm excited to see the numbers rise in MP and hopefully stay up!

Still likely won't. BF1 is a very good game. People won't change because something else is cheap. They might try it though.

Can't comment on COD but the fan base for that is set regardless of how shit it might be.

I agree, hard to tear myself away from BF1, great game!

But at that price you'll see people dip in, userbase will definitely grow, at least in the short term.

Titanfall 1 had a long life on Xbox One. In attrition at least, and because it uses dedicated servers you can actually get away with playing US West if you get desperate.

Either way the SP alone is worth the $36 admission IMO.
 
Current black friday deal on the Xbox has deluxe versions of this bundled with Battlefield 1 for $117. Purchased.

Just a tad under 23k online when i played it earlier today, healthy enough to find instant lobbies. Given the upcoming price drop and Infinite Warfares multiplayer being complete and utter garbage, that number should rise.

Good alternative to BF1, the decision to give out free dlc should be rewarded also.

West left in 2013 according to Polygon, but even with just Zampella there is apparently a lot of other ex-IW staff that came over with him after MW2.

Proof is in the pudding, still making good games at Respawn.

Some companies crumble when good people leave (Rare)
Others have a lot of quality so it doesn't affect them (Naughty Dog/Bioware/Respawn)
 
My opinion from the inital beta to today has changed dramatically. Rate this just behind Overwatch as the best multiplayer shooters of 2016.

At $39 its an absolute no brainer purchase.

x2 Beta was crap, this has the feel of the original with more variety and a single player campaign.
