Well they still haven't said what resolution it will run at, im guessing they are squeezing all they can out of the x1 and still cant get 1080p

3rd party exclusive is an odd decision Will look like a silly choice financially if the PS4 dominates In sales.

Although only being the source engine. It probably didnt cost much to make so they'll make the money back, but limiting something this big to one console is odd.

Given that Vince Zampella only recently found about "exclusive for life of title" deal, it might have been a timed exclusive originally. The hype surrounding the game might have seen Microsoft close Sony out of the picture completely.

Respawn Entertainment certainly didn't do themselves any harm in just developing for two platforms originally as it's cheaper and gets their foot in the door. Assuming it's a massive success and they aren't porting it for any other consoles, they can continue to create original content, with DLC content for Titanfall and a new title.

1st party and 2nd party exclusives aren't dumb as they support original content and are better optimised than 3rd party games, exclusive or not.

Frank Gibeau already said that Titanfall, Battlefield and Battlefront would eventually run on a three year cycle, which lead people to believe that Titanfall wouldn't be an Microsoft exclusive, rather it would be a timed exclusive. Would be especially great if they all had their own distinct flavors and where well supported with content over those three years.

I'm not sure if I'm going to buy this game or not, If I do I will probably just get it for PC (or 360 if I haven't got my new computer yet). I don't see it as a reason to buy the Xbox1 for me personally.

ME1 was published by MS and only came to other platforms after EA purchased BioWare iirc. I'm pretty sure that Titanfall is a part of the EA partners program, the same program that was used for the Left 4 Dead series.

I always thought that part of the reason for that was BioWare didn't want to restrict Mass Effect to one platform, being a big Xbox fanboy at the time I remember being annoyed that Microsoft allowed it to happen.

That's why I say it could easily happen with Titanfall, the sales of the PS4 and the demand from the Sony side might be too good to refuse for Respawn. EA certainly wouldn't skip the chance at making more $$$.
