The next Titanfall will come to PS4, if the game is a hit.

Pretty scummy from EA to make the exclusive title deal (from the tweets it seems Vince was under the impression it was timed) without the knowledge of Respawn, didnt he leave Activision for the way they treated the devs? Makes you wonder who really owns the IP here.

Initial development of a PS4 version was rumoured a while back, real pity the PS4 fans will miss out. New franchises deserve to be available to the masses to build up a core fan base that'll support future sequels. Buying 3rd party exclusivity is the shitty part of gaming today but business is business i guess.

Nah they'd rather fund their own studios to bring out new IPs and put money into developing a next gen console that is more powerful than the competition.

C'mon man. Titanfall 2 will be out in a few years, you can enjoy this series on your more powerful console then.

In the meantime, come over to the dark side and buy an XB1. I'm sure that, if Titanfall is marketed correctly and thoroughly, a lot of other people will do the same just to get their hands on possibly the best shooter of 2014. Will be a real selling point. All is fair in love and war.

Premiers04 has pretty much said by the time Titanfall launches he'll own both systems.

On top of his Wii U.

He's close to the most rounded poster on the VG board.

That's fine. I own both a 360 and a PS3 as well, and along with the XB1 will most likely purchase a PS4 when it gets some exclusives.

All I'm saying is that this game should sell consoles. Smart move by Microsoft to lock it away. This is the big exclusive the console needed to claw back some ground.

Hardly. It isn't out for like 5 months. In that time Sony could have a new Naughty Dog game revealed which will keep people on PS4.

Another Infamous is hardly going to stop people picking up a XB1 for Titanfall - I doubt even a Naughty Dog announcement would do much to stop the momentum. There's already a lot of hype for it and once it starts to get substantial mainstream attention it will really take off. This game will help sell consoles. From the looks of this thread, there's already a few looking to pick up an XB1 as soon as this is released.

I apologize if I sounded like a fanboy for thinking it's awesome news that the console I am going to purchase first up has just secured exclusive rights to what could be the game of 2014. The more people that buy this game [on the one platform], the bigger and better the community, which leads to increased longevity.

Maybe if I posted some .gifs trashing Microsoft, would I then be seen as unbiased and fair?
