Sorry?

Another Infamous is hardly going to stop people picking up a XB1 for Titanfall - I doubt even a Naughty Dog announcement would do much to stop the momentum. There's already a lot of hype for it and once it starts to get substantial mainstream attention it will really take off. This game will help sell consoles. From the looks of this thread, there's already a few looking to pick up an XB1 as soon as this is released.
It would if it wasn't on the 360 as well , its hard to sell a console based on a game which is on a system you already own, Quantum Break is the title which will move more units.

Will be interesting to see how much of the community is still left on the 360 in 5 months time. The experience wouldn't be the same as on next-gen I wouldn't think.

I apologize if I sounded like a fanboy for thinking it's awesome news that the console I am going to purchase first up has just secured exclusive rights to what could be the game of 2014. The more people that buy this game [on the one platform], the bigger and better the community, which leads to increased longevity.

Maybe if I posted some .gifs trashing Microsoft, would I then be seen as unbiased and fair?

I really doubt Titanfall will be the game of the year.

It's getting huge hype now but could quite easily be a bust as well.

You're under rating Naughty Dog. They could take a shit and get hype right now.

Maybe. But would the hype for a game that would still most likely have a year of development left stop people from purchasing an XB1 to play Titanfall right then and there? Especially if Titanfall lives up to the hype it's getting right now.

I think Titanfall is the most obvious 'game of the year' candidate for next year and rightfully so. But neither Microsoft or Sony have revealed their hand as far as Christmas 2014 goes.

There will be some huge first party exclusives coming this time next year which haven't been formally announced. Whether it be a Halo, Uncharted or some brand new IP.

Naughty Dog's second team have will have had 3 years development time by Christmas 2014.

I think they have had enough development time to get something out by then.

We don't know what they are doing so until they reveal it's all speculation.

It takes a special game to live up to early hype. TLOU did it and so did GTA. For what I've seen Titanfall hasn't touched there early hype IMO.

Everyone who has played Titanfall has been jizzing over it, I think it has every chance of living up to the hype.

It looks like the perfect evolution of the COD gameplay.

That could be because of how pretty and new it is.

From all reports Titanfall is amazing so I'd be very surprised if the game was a flop.

It'll be interesting to see some more of Black Tusks game, iirc the game was said to be the next Halo in terms of how big it is.

Hype alone will make sure it doesn't flop as the preorders will be huge and I think it will be groundbreaking upon release.

I just don't think it will be the new kid on the block for long.

That is the second most interesting game in Microsoft's announced line up for mine after Remedy's new game which looks awesome (providing the TV part isn't shit). There is a big chance that it is Microsoft's big Christmas exclusive and I am keen to see more.

I've pretty much accepted that Titanfall will be great, the presscore I rate have said it is awesome and I don't think they are pulling the wool over my eyes with it.

I'm looking forward to QB as well, the game looks great and it will be good if the TV show is done well (especially if the story is great), I'm pretty sure Ryse is getting a show/web series as well (as well as Halo) so it will be interesting to see if this becomes the norm with big X1 exclusives.

Whens the next event where we usually see a bunch of trailers, VGA's?

Why be happy for any exclusive? it only hurts gamers that can only afford one console over the other, but hey be happy millions of people wont get a chance to play it :thumbsu:
And seriously gifs? Sigh.

I reckon this is a big FU to Sony for reversing on the DRM(rumours they were going to block used games untill the MS shitstorm hit) EA pulled there used game passes and eveyone knows EA dont do that shit out of kindness.

Isn't the Quantum Break TV Show stuff in the game? Not an actual side project?

I'm not really sure, this is what I found from a few months back though:

Remedy's Quantum Break for Xbox One is part "cinematic action shooter" and part episodic television series, with each half of the multimedia game affecting the other.

Remedy was somewhat vague on precisely how content viewing the television show half of Quantum Break would affect the game side and vice versa. Though he did give us a clue: The game will include moments called "junctions," during which players will make choices that help shape a "director's cut" of the TV content.

Lake and Oskari "Ozz" Häkkinen showed a snippet of a live action scene from Quantum Break — prefaced by a "Tonight on Quantum Break..." — that foreshadowed a revelation in an in-game cinematic. That cinematic was an extended look at the preview of the game from Microsoft's E3 press conference, when protagonist Jack Joyce encounters a doctor caught in a moment frozen in time.

During some of the game's junction moments, players will actually take control of Paul Serene, letting players make choices from his perspective that affect the show. Lake says TV show episodes will run about 30 minutes in length, and the first season of the show and Quantum Break's game content will all ship at once.

The most amount of awards for 1 game ever at E3 suggests otherwise

I was "meh" about the game (not a fan of mech game play) Until i played it

But this is truly astounding. Not one person i talked to after playing it (internal and at the public Expo) didn't like it. Everyone was blown away. Not just "Its ok" the responses were "Its fricken amazing"

This is very much a GOTY contender.

Not that there's much we know about 2014 game releases. ****, we've still gotta get through a BF4, COD and next gen launch AND Xmas before we even worry about 2014. But its most def a GOTY contender

Ubisoft have some big guns up their sleeve for 2014 too

It's only done that as it's the prettiest and most innovative next gen game shown at the reveal.

It's a start of the cycle game. Would it get the same hype if it was end of the cycle like GTA and TLOU?

I have no doubt it will be a good game and will be right up there for goty next year but I doubt it's XB1's ace card for 2014.

This game looks incredible. Probably going to buy an Xbox One next year just for this and Forza 5.

Wat?

FWIW i think Destiny is my front runner for GOTY.

It looks pretty.

It really doesn't. These are stills at max graphics at 1080p on PC.

They're milking Source engine for all it's worth though and the textures, lighting and fast pace of the game do a lot to hide that fact.
