With the season drawing on us, it may be time to see where players are sitting in regards to the rest of the list.

Titch Edwards has taken a few years to build a body that is able to compete physically against some of the gorillas that parade around as human beings on the football field. in his 9th season (already) and at 25 should be coming into his prime. A very tricky, flashy small forward/midfielder, there are, however, still question marks over his kicking and general disposal, even though this has improved significantly in the last 1-2 years. 2013 was his best year to date, but have we seen the best of Titch now, or is there still improvement in him? is his place going to come under pressure with the drafting of Lennon, LLoyd and Gordon, plus Newman reinventing himself as a forward, King still around and, with the interchange cap, more midfielders rotating through the forward line?

I'm tipping a big year from Titch. Could become that small crumbing forward we've been crying out for and has the potential to become one of the best small forwards in the league.

Started 2013 like a house on fire, dropped off second half of the year for some reason.

I think he's capable of excellence but his problem is and always has been consistency.

He's underrated as an inside midfielder but I personally prefer him forward. With Miles, Thomas and Arnot coming through the ranks and Lloyd, Gordon and Lennon aboard he'll have competition like he's never had. Fingers crossed it pushes his game up another level

I personally dont like Titch in the centre square bounces. Gets pushed aside way too easily.

He is lightning sometimes and is super creative....but for some reason he doesn't create too many headaches for opposition backs, why? Why isn't he able to force opposition into panic mode like betts/Milne etc did over the last 5 years? Im not so sure he gets in the rifht places as a forward enough....maybe? Perhaps as a permanent forward this aspect of his game could improve and see a big overrall imorovement.

Our best handball in traffic and has an uncanny ability to quickly get the ball to boot. Tough as nails too. Should be forward pocket permanently.

Agree, his disposal in traffic is better than most.

His disposal when he has time and space is the problem and I'm not sure that makes him well suited to being a pocket. High HF rotating through the midfield for mine.

The fact is that in every team you have the elite few and you have the rest who have some sort of question marks over their kicking and general disposal.
I think Titch is a handy soldier who has his "elite" flashes and is definitely best 22. I cant see him being any more than this but is still very very handy.

Exactly, so many posters on here want us to have 22 stars playing every week, it's not only unrealistic but a stupid thought to even think it's possible.

Given the increasing depth in the midfield I'd like to see him play 90% forward. Was a revealation there 2/3 years ago (can't remember which).
35 goals would be a great return from him and definitely realistic.
Valuable player - mostly as a slippery crumbing forward pocket.

To add to this he reads where the ball is going off the pack as good as anyone.

If we win a flag with the current bunch then I'm pretty confident that Titch's lightning hands and befuddling sidestep will play an important part.
