He is a mature player who is not just having little effect for the Tigers, he is a liability with poor disposal and turn overs. It would be better to send him back the the reserves and give his spot to a young kid to help with the kids development.

Please give him the arse, he doesn't have a set of balls, he can't kick for ****, despite the "experts" claiming he has excellent skills.
LMAO

the fact this hack came 6th in the B&F has gone past laughable and more into the disgraceful

watch him come out and dominate the carlton game he knows how it works

**** YOU GREG!

He had the 2nd most amount of tackles for our club last year. He wins the hardball these days and is one of the very few players applying defensive pressure.

I think it's safe to say his defensive game is very good.

He can get the ball and get 25+ possies quite often. His problem is bloody inconsistent disposal... that is the reason he is not an A-grade midfielder and probably the only reason.

The experts say his kicking can be the best in the league so when he puts it all together he is a fantastic player to watch in full flight.

Hasn't he been testing our patience long enough though? lol unless his turnover rate changes then yes we are better off losing a few more games by playing youngsters.

He had a poor Regional challenge match...Deledio's had 3

Get off his case...he is in our best 18 by far...
Yeah but Deledio is good, Tivendale isn far from it, Deledio has a future, hopefully tivendales future is at collingwood or some other team I hate after this year.
Tivendale can't even hit a target 90% of the time, he has been living off the myth that he has a beutiful kick for far too long.

But the hope is that Lids will learn and improve as he is young, Tivendale wont. Tivendales game yesterday was embarrasing, how many kicks did he do that didnt go within 25 meters of a Richmond player and they werent miskicked either, just kicked it without looking. Then there was his dropped mark before handballing straight to a Melbourne player for a goal. Then the 2 on 1 with Polo which for some reason he just held onto the ball before he was tackled and gone for holding the ball. When was his last good game against a decent team when the pressure was on?

Very sensible post, BF. The only problem with our club is that there is nobody putting their hand up to take his spot. Everbody says play Meyer, play JON, play Casserley. But none of them deserve it. They can't even string 2 decent games together for Coburg. The FACTS are that Tivs effectiveness percentages are up there with the best in the club . Everyone should leave him alone, all of you! It makes me sick that we seem to need a whipping boy every season.

just face the facts i dont care what percentages he has he is a hack and not a player who will take us to finals

the only reason he gets games is because the rest of the kids are sticks maybe if we recruited some ready made footy players like jones he would be shown up for the pathetic player he is

he is not a whipping boy just plain ****!

yes incase you didnt notice i am sick of him

Exactly what i am saying. It is the recruitment staffs fault that he is getting a game, not his. It is not his fault that he is inside the top 10 performed players at the club. And while he is in the best 10 performed players at the club we are going nowhere.

Ready made players may not be better long term which is what we have to aim for though. I understand people saying there are no better options at the moment, probably true, we are certainly recruiting enough midfielders, guess we just have to be patient.

I can tell that you didn't watch the Melbourne game, he single handedly lost us about 4 or 5 goals.

Deledio has been in our best's in every other game.

No I didn't and you didn't watch the Geelong game, because Deledio was certainly not in our best.

And ofcourse court for holding the ball yet again. Atleast once per match?

Yeah actually I did watch the Geelong match and I saw Brett kick 3 goals in the second half, and if you look here you will see he was in our best's.

I BELEIVE THE TERM 'OWNED' CAN COME INTO EFFECT NOW.

I will accept your apoligy.

Deledio was clearly not in our best that game. His first half (when the game was on) was absolutely woeful and he was pretty much non existent, kicked a few cheap goals when the game was over.

yeh and what did tivendale do?

he hides when our kids were getting smashed in the first 3/4 quarters but then starts kicking supergoals and looking sexy with his kicking when the pressure was OFF!

atleast with guys like hall who are just crap you laugh but this bloke pisses me right off

doesnt have a footy brain, freezes when its tight, and makes some ridiculous errors, piss him off

Never said Tivendale was good, clearly will never be up to it, just pointed out that Lids wasnt very good v Geelong.

:) FUNNY how some of you can recall the "4 or 5" goals he cost us against the Demons and each mistake or turnover he was responsible for, but seems to be little attention paid - or is that overlooked - to the mistakes of others.

PARANOIA!!!!!!!

Think you would find fewer threads and more love on Internet forums for Osama Bin Laden than you would Tivendale.
Seriously not the villain he is made out to be....Tiva that is!!!!

Joel Bowden and Brett Deledio would be responsible for as many turnovers as Tivendale, yet we seem to turn a blind eye.

Look I am no great fan of Tivendale - never really was and probably never will be. But I am a realist. The fact he finishes top 10 in our b&f is a wake up call for us all. Unfortunately, it's where our club is at the moment. Until such time as these so called young "sticks" develop and overtakle the likes of Tiva, we will always be middle rung of the ladder at best.

But I just laugh. I see games like the game at Skilled Stadium a few weeks ago when we turned the ball over about 50 times, yet fans seem to only take notice when it's Tiva. An errant handball or miskick from Bowden, Raines, Deledio or Polo goes unnoticed!!!!

As I said, I am a realist. Oir skill level and turnover rate is poor, ACROSS THE BOARD!!!!!! The fact this hasn't been rectified in 10 years is why we still have the likes of Tiva running around.......and he certainly ain't the worse.

In the Geelong game Bowden turn over the ball twice within 2 minuts for 2 direct goals, a handball straight to an opponent and a short pass, yet no one said anything.
Deledio was given a bath, actually a footy lesson in the 1st half from Ling and was sent to the forward line in the 2nd half, yet people think he had a good game. What has Deleldio delivered? He has shown glimpses and racks up a few possesions here and there without being astounding.

Tivers had 26 possesions, 1 turnover, 1 9pointer and a 2nd 9 pointer that hit the goal post, played in my opinion the best for us along with Foley and Tuck, yet he gets caned.

Enjoyed one of his best seasons, playing every game in 2006. The 166-game veteran increased his hardness and defensive game to finish second in tackles for the Tigers. Was also top five for inside 50s and kicks and hard-ball and loose-ball gets. His ability to play defensively and shut down opponents increased his versatility and appeal to the Richmond coaching staff. Finished sixth in the best and fairest.

:) Nice job ARES. For weeks I thought I'd watched the wrong game...or had seven more beers than I should have. It wsn't Tivendale turning the ball over deep in defence and conceding goals, it was one J. Bowden. He'll concede a goal most weeks from a poor turnover, yet we laud him as our All Australian and a best and fairest winner.

There are plenty more guys other than number 32 turning the ball over ...time a few people woke up to that fact.

I will stand by want I said on a another thread today. That is, our skill level is poor from top to bottom. Can only rely on a few to be precise with their delivery on most occasions. Until the skill level improves, we will be at best a ninth ranked team. Endeavour alone won't win you games. Executing skills will!
