It's Frenzal Rhomb not bomb and MUSE are boring and lame

This is the reason that 40 year old music is played. By then familiarity and nostalgia have overridden the inertia, tribalism and taste differences that go with (relatively) new music.

Plus hopefully most of the shit music from those times will have been forgotten, and we can all pretend that music was better back when we were young.

**** off to the rules committee you TNT changers.

The only suggestion I have is if we have a similar season next year that we play the Benny Hill theme song during games.

Frenzals have been possibly the biggest punk band in Australia of all time. They started in the 90s. Not everyone's taste but have a big cult following. Guitarist and lead singer have been working for jjj ever since and are legend guys.

I'm not into popular culture I look at it as pollution to our society

But JJJ is so "popular" amongst middle aged blokes who "like to hear good music before it gets on commercial radio" so they can then say "oh this was on triple J ages ago." Its elitist and snobbery at it's very worst. They then go on to pretend to like bands who have had one song played on the JJJ but "have all their albums and see them at XYZ pub heaps of times."

To be honest JMT JJJ is as much popular culture as the radio stations that play Taylor Swift 24/7 and by extension as much of a pollutant!

There I said it!

Sorry already been allocated to all Darling's attempted marks with just a hint of pressure.

RTR is where it's at these days btw if you want fresh sounds.

At least JJJ doesn't have ads or inane breakfast DJs who waffle on about reality tv shows and other brain melting garbage.

True...but personally I prefer that to "..and that was the Manic Space Monkeys with a song you'll never hear again!"

Music is as individual to the person as their fingerprints and telling someone their taste in music is inferior to yours is well, frankly nuts.

All they have in the wheatbelt is Hot FM that plays the same ****in songs over and over.

Actually I think there is also JJJ but it's tough to get a decent signal.

No ads and no annoying presenters that think they are awesome. Jjj hosts mostly have played in reputable bands.

Each song played costs the station around $6 to play. So the money for that has to come from somewhere. Commercial radio stations don't have the luxury of being state and taxpayer sponsored. JJJ should be MORE representative not less. Any enuff said. Off tracks(geddit?) again!

They have a 1000s times bigger catalogue than Comercial
