Aside from announcing his departure mid season, I don't see what else he could do.
He could say "I will make my decision at the end of the year" and leave it at that, he didn't need to add the bullshit charade of answering questions with "my contract? Ah yeah, funny you should mention it, hadn't crossed my mind. Had not even thought of it! I'll let you know when I've thought about it..."

With regards to booing him, of course, this is a player who has deserted us just as were about to make our run for a premiership. He is the enemy now.

You may know him as Princess Showboat drama queen - aka Patrick Dangerfield
I've heard 'em all, mate. Patshit Dangerscum, Patprick Clangerfield or simply Patricia Dangerfield from Flogs Creek.

I've found it enjoyable hearing half a dozen of Adelaide's playing group respond with "who?" when asked about Danger.

While it's humourous, it illustrates the obvious animosity towards Danger by the playing group. I expect some fireworks on the field.

I would not care if somone lines him up at the first centre bounce and runs straight through him and gets suspended for 4 weeks it'll be worth it. Tex is absolutely filthy with him, don't think Tex went to the wedding either. Douglas your time is now! Do something useful this season.

I feel somewhat betrayed because i was in the "I believe" camp (also know as "camp denial") for the whole season, right up until mad monday.

Let's hope Stevie J knocks you lot out - figuratively and metaphorically

I probably changed my approach once he himself basically called on us to boo him.

I got swept up in the occasion too when i went to the port v geelong game. I'll probably boo but i don't dislike him. I just can't, he was too good while he was here. If that makes me soft so be it.

I've always defended Danger's right to leave and how he went about it, so I don't think I harbour any resentment. That said if you want to boo then go for it! This is sport, it's a contest meant to entertain, if supporters can't cheer their own and boo the opposition then what's the point of it all? As long as people don't go overboard by doing something stupid there's no problem.

Talia aside, wouldn't it be nice for once to see one of our players being booed because he was a "gun" we poached from another club.

I don't really care for booing. I will just enjoy the moment when we best his sorry excuse for a team for daring to step foot in our fortress.

Then he can karaoke all the way back to moggs.

Would a tar and feathering be taking it to far? What is the ceiling here?

I'd love to see Matt Crouch gut punch Dangerfield hard 100m off the ball. I'm sure the players would chip in for the fine.

Maybe even a Rhys Stanley 'perfectly legitimate' bump. There wouldn't even be a fine! (Unless you're Kyle Hartigan doing exactly the same thing)

The best way to hurt Danger is to actual ignore him, the campaigner loves the attention he gets and being ignored would do far more damage to his precious ego than anything else.

I used to always cringe when he did interviews when playing for us, he does have a very over inflated ego of himself. Compare him to Fyfe or Ablett, far superior players but always very very humble human beings.

Hmmm. Perhaps that's something Fages or Pykey should "seek some understanding" over from the MRP?

I was at 2KW the night of the Port and Cats game. I was chatting to a few Cats supporters (and a Crow dressed as a Cat....leaving that one there) and the question was brought up on whether I was going to boo Danger. I categorically said yes. The Geelong fan got all defensive about it, accusing me of bad sportsmanship. He even went on to say the Cats fans did not even Boo Gazza etc.
I went on to tell him that I have a huge respect for Danger and the commitment he gave you our club....but I am still going to boo. I told him that it is as much about letting go and my personal grievances of one of the greatest players in the game....and I am going to boo. I told him that Danger is the sort of player that will probably ride the attention and get best on ground....but I am still going to boo. It is not a boo of malice or ill will. It is purely about me....and in the unlikely event that I can out him off his game just a tad....well let's face it....I am going to boo.

So am I wrong? Am I a bad sportsman? Am I a nasty person? Or is it just part and parcel of the game?
I feel booing at that flog will play into his hands...he was an average player for the crows, overrated selfish big head who couldnt kick when under pressure, but the media needed their poster boy...he obviously has a good manager who knows how to get overrated players exposed in the media.... haha..He should be treated as any opposing player and i know his big ego would not enjoy silence when he goes for the ball, so show him the same respect and lack of loyalty he showed the club and treat him as though he aint out there!
