There was an article in the adelaide advertiser today that said that the crows are targeting ryan fitzgerald. the supposed trade is fitzgerald for ricky o'loughlin plus draft pick or another player.

What do you think?

I have my doubts as to whether fitzgerald is up to it physicaly.

Look I don't think Fitzgerald is that good really, he started well, took some grabs and kicked some goals then wilted quite badly under the pressure of some the better halfbacks around.

With more muscles and stamina he would be a great Forward, but as you say I just don't think he is up to it at the moment.

But the deal certainly looks pretty attractive on paper. Fitzgearld would probably quite like to go home to Sth Aust, while Ricky would probably like to come and join big brother in Sydney.

Also I get the feeling that Sydney will have to trade away draft picks to secure the experienced player we are after, so to get a draft pick back courtesy of the Crows would be good news for us.

But Drakey mate remember - its just a stupid media inspired rumour designed to sell newspapers - at the moment.

This trade is extremely unlikely. Eade has said he feels he has enough tall forwards and is looking for a top midfielder and tall defender.

take it as written that Fitzgerald is in his plans and is happy in Sydney.

Really he jsu needed to bulk up and gain more experience.'

We have lost enough young talent over the last few years, it would be nice to be able to hang to a player with as much promise as Fitzgerald - for once.

I saw the delisting certainly wouldn't delist Barry, can play though his continuos fitness problems are a worry, his restricted pre-season has cost.

Would hang on to Kirk as well he is a handy back-up with room to improve.

Sydney would've delisted Frosty at end of last year if he were'nt under contract.

Was encouraged to read Eade in the press today saying the list won't be substantially changed this year, we've had a few retirements, but no wholesale delistings or whatever.

Nice to go into next season with what we've already got, a bit of continuity wouldn't go astray hey ?

Absolutely, mostly we just need to develop what we have rather than hope to grab a champ.

Just focus on improving the young, still expect 4 retirements 2 delistings

Lack of opportuinity since mid year probably means the coaching staff have written him off.

Good thing to/ he's not much value.

O'Connor staying will depend on how we go with trades, if they can find a tall defender then he's probably gone.
