Black Cousins and Haselby

or

McLoed,Buckley and Wangeneen.

For your side next year your offered one of the groups which one do you take?

There is a arguement raging about comparing home grown talent from Fremantle (the city not the club) and Port (see before), were not talking past glories were talking a game between the 2 sides so value as of NOW.

Just to clear up Sabre's nonsense it was about comparing the talent that have played for "East Fremantle" with the players that have played for "Port Adelaide".

Stop talking ***** Sabre, it was talking about which players are better full stop, not who may be better, and East Freo couldn't field a team of 22 AFL players so I fail to see how we are "talking a game between the 2 sides"

Mcleod, Buckley and Wanganeen for me.
Mcleod is an explosive and very tallented player.
Buckley racks up a SHlT load of possessions and is a dead-eyed-****. Wanganeen will be a grouse player in our side. Forward or back, he will shine!! :D

But this is not reality :(

Daniel Chick vs C.Bradley, Bradley easily
Jonathon Hay vs D.Wakelin, Wakelin
Matthew Carr vs P.Burgoyne, Burgoyne easily
Josh Carr vs S.Burgoyne, Burgoyne slightly
Shane Woewodin vs C.C-Collins, Woewodin slightly

You win 1 position, how the hell do you suppose that your team is better????

Looks like you were comparing key match ups to me

Sabre if you are talking bout current form like the other post....the Hay vs Wakelin match up turns out to be an easy victory for Port Adelaide.

Bloody hell is this turning into a my dicks bigger than your **** debate or what??

Next thing we'll be talking about which family produces the best footy players, the Danihers or the Houlihans......... and no don't take that question seriously.

Actually I took the list you mentioned from this posters list:

My mouth waters when I think what a force a team featuring East Fremantle alumni currently running around in the AFL would be. Off the top of my head you'd have:

Simon Black
Paul Hasleby
Ben Cousins
Daniel Kerr
Luke McPharlin
Daniel Chick
Jonathon Hay
Matthew Carr
Josh Carr
Shane Woewodin
Tarkyn Lockyer

Would be absolutely dominant with probably the best midfield I've ever seen.

This was the "original" post and as you can see I have simply named placed names to players alongside it, nothing to do with a team line up.

Not only that but you can also add the following players that I didn't mention:

D.Wakelin
S.Wakelin
G.John(ock
A.Didak
C.Enright
M.Wilson
J.Poulton
D.Foster

Black, Cousins, and Haselby are all pure midfielders. Wanganeen can play in the midfield, defence, or attack. Buckley is a midfielder who is equally adept at running the ball out of defence. McLeod is a pure midfielder, who occasionally can find himself on a flank.

For those reasons, I'd take the Port trio. Also, they are experienced and ready made footballers who have almost done it all.

Dont want to rain on your parade but out of these players ( and i stand corrected ) only Black and Cousins are actually home grown.

Haselby is from country WA, McLeod is from NT as is Buckley, i dont know where Wanga is from but guessing country SA.

Having said that i would take Black, Cousins and Haselby because they are better overall midfielders and a bit younger

Since when was Wanganeen a midfielder?

Point taken, they are not born in the cities but it is actually a debate on which clubs has produced the better players into the AFL.
