Also we dont want post whores
and asking for an invite dosnt normally get you one, but it puts you lower down the order

The No Passengers board was established by a Big Footy moderator to generate some discussion from established posters which was less quantity and (hopefully) of a sound quality.
One of the main reasons was so that weekly discussion on the "hot" topics could be analysed and summarised with the more interesting parts of the discussion posted on the main board in a separate thread for all posters to view in a succinct format. As you would have seen there are some excellent quality posts on the main board but they do get lost in the volume of lower quality items each week.
Hopefully this way some useful information is available for everyone in 1 thread to digest. There will hopefully be a thread for captains choices, weekly topics and a panel for main board posters to ask Q & As which can be answered with a level of solid analysis.
I'm sorry if this sounds elitest, it's certainly not meant to be that way, simply a way to get good information to all posters in the easiest possible way.
Bit disappointing that it's turned into a EDT style forum.
A thread in which only the members are allowed to post and others could view would be excellent, IMO.
Both threads could exist, and members could choose which of their posts could be seen by members only, and which posts could be accessed by everyone.
The posting of some of the points raised in the thread is OK, but I want more!!
I guess the main difference to EDT Kai is that the information is shared with everybody.
As to your 2nd point, spot on. This is exactly what was wanted but the system would not allow it, so this is unfortunately this is the best the can be done. Sorry.
Anyway, enough chat about this. Back to Stevens, and in particular Vs N Jones. Interesting battle for the 6 spot in my forward line due to trade issues. Stevens currently averaging 82 and Jones 71. Who is the better long term keeper?

As for the Jones vs Stevens debate, I'd say Stevens will probably average higher. Just because Jones is coping pretty heavy tags and doesnt have the support around him that Stevens does. Stevens copping tags too, but sharing them with Judd and a few others. So yeah, my guess is that Stevens will average 5-10 points more. Just a guess though.

Nick Stevens has averaged above 78 for nine consecutive seasons (averaging 85+ in three of these years).
On the other hand, this is N.Jones' third season. Last year he averaged 70.4. After 5 games this year he is averaging only 71.4.
Stevens has his measure by a long stretch in my opinion.

His current average is 82.2, which puts his real price at $332,000. If he scores his current average for 3 more weeks his price will be up to $320,000 which is $20,000 above his current price of $300,000. If he scores his average this week his price will rise to $310,000. In addition to this a lot of the premium midfielders have high break evens this round and will probably drop further (Dane Swan, Joel Corey, Scott Thompson, Simon Goodwin, Sam Mitchell, Luke Hodge, Kane Cornes, Daniel Cross) so if I was to trade him out I would be waiting at least this week.
Personally, I believe he'll average between 85-90, which means he's quite possibly a keeper and at the very least I will wait to trade him out due to more pressing upgrades.

He seems quite consistent, other gaps to fill before offloading stevens!

Upshot is, he's too close to his likely final price to make that trade worthwhile. It's sideways. If you feel you just have to dump Jones or Dyson, at least do it for a genuine star. An upgrade should be a clear upgrade, not a 93 Magna for a 99 Falcon.
Barlow to Burgoyne would be a good trade though.

I dont know why people are trading Stevens this week. If he can average above 85 for the year and i think he will easily then i dont see why he cant be the 6th midfielder for the year. I think he will be averaging 90 for the 2nd half of the year. For me, he is way down on the trade priority and it would be very wasteful to get rid of him now at Round 6!!!!
