I acn see where yr coming from Adam but i agree with Dogs. This board has really been cleaned up since Dogs came on board.

We have all the threads we need to fullfill basically any piece of news information etc, etc.

The majority of threads posted are due to peoples laziness to search through the already active threads. I swear some people just like seeing their name under the newly established thread, no dig at you DTM on the Pies Board.

This board just goes beserk this time of year with people generating threads every 5 seconds. In the off season when it's just the regualrs we probably only use the 1 thread for months.

Keep up the good work:thumbsu:

I think he is doing a superb job. The people that create a thread about raines injury because they think they have an update when there is already one about raines injury, and an injury and suspension thread.

I actually feel the board is less cluttered which is great. Keep up the good work 54Dogs!
I agree, the DT board has never been this good. Normally it's full of crap at this time of the year. Everyone has improved their posting and the addition of dogs54 to moderation has led to a more enjoyable experience.

Yeah, keep up the good work 54dogs:thumbsu:

I reckon if you want to start a thread and have doubts about whether it deserves one or not - simply PM the mod and get his opinion. 54dogs is on often enough that you will get a quick enough reply and can start a new one if approved and appropriate.

I agree with others in that valuable threads disappear onto page 2 simply as a result of rubbish threads moving the good ones down the list.

I think he is doing a fantastic job also. There is no need for every man and his dog to start a thread, 'What to do with Raines', or 'Should I trade player A for player B'. As Tarqs (I think) said earlier, there are 2 new threads popping up like this everyday. Also, this means some of the more valuable/relevant thrads are being pushed over to the next page and falling into oblivion.

There are set threads for set topics and if your topic does not fit into those criterias then put it into the general discussion or start a new thread. I think the main thing is to think before you post. Threads are made for discussion not single post answers.

Keep up the good work Dogs.

Perhaps you should sticky the respective Trading, Injury, Player Discussion and General Discussion threads which in theory should decrease the amount of new threads, as most of the new threads are created by lazy people who can't be bothered going a page back to see if there was a thread already on their set topic

My one criticism (which is minor) is that I'd be merging the million injury/player discussion/trade threads, as locking them clutters the board.

I agree that what you are doing needs to be done, and I applaud the fact that you are spending so much time on this.

I also think that repeat offenders should be carded, at least for the next month or so until the message sinks in.

Keep up the good work mate.:thumbsu:

Great idea Ben.

If people go to the trouble of creating a thread they obviously have an issue they are very keen to discuss so I'd much rather merge it than simply lock the thread. This way they can head to the broad thread to see the discussion on their issue which may also help drive the behavioural change of them posting in this thread next time. Not sure of the logistics but I'll look into it. Thanks for the idea mate.

Also really like the idea of stickying the main threads but Cartman nailed it in that we are limited with how many we are allowed to stick. Top idea though and I'll look into it further.

Thanks also to the posters today really encouraging others to use the main threads, much appreciated support.

Thanks everyone for the ideas on how we can make it better for everyone. Hopefully this year with less "Official **%# you Heath Shaw" type of threads the board can be more informative and enjoyable.
