TOA's Phantom Draft (long post)

TOA - notice you have Tommy Rockcliff at Pick 37 to the Roos, where you didn't have him drafted in your first attempt. Could you give me some info on his height/weight and type of player. All I really know is he is from Murray Bushrangers and his name has been floated around a bit.

As I said about re Jack Steven. I havent see alot of these guys play much, my PD isnt based on how I rate players (unlike someone like Weaver who takes into consideration his own opinion), its just based on where I think they will be drafted. Although from the little I have seen on Rockliff he looks very clever but it must be said his pace is questionable and could mean he goes later or not at all. He did break his leg last year so maybe that provides excuse, I dunno.

EDIT: Added my more 'preferred' outcome (with correct draft order). Followed by my original effort.

Round 1

Pick 1 – Carlton – Matthew Kreuzer
Pick 2 – Richmond – Trent Cotchin
Pick 3 – WC – Chris Masten
Pick 4 – Melb – Cale Morton
Pick 5 – Bulldogs – Jarred Grant
Pick 6 – Ess – David Myers
Pick 7 – Fremantle – Rhys Palmer

Nice :thumbsu:

I have to be honest, I havent see that much of him. I know he's quick but his kicking can let him down. To win a TAC B+F as a bottom-age player is a good effort in anyones language.

I placed him at the Pies because I read on here and also from another person that the pies were slowing alot of interest along with Freo.

Well Done TOA!

42 – ST KILDA – JACK STEVEN
Saints had to take him here with Collingwood eager at 47.

Matt Burgan may just have copied your response!!!!! :thumbsu: ;)

Pick 27 – Adelaide – Patrick DANGERFIELD (05/04/90) 187/83
Dangerfield is a bottom-age, hard at it HBF/midfielder, who is an attractive height with very good pace. His smarts and skills may see him slide somewhat as could the fact he is looking to spend next year in Melbourne to finish school. This is probably the latest he could go, while he could go as early as the Crows first pick at 10. The Crows have shown a lot of interest and will be all over him if he lasts this long. Richmond and Sydney have also expressed reasonable interest. Crows have shown an interest in Mitch Farmer and Andy Otten who will also be in the mix for this selection, along with Levi Greenwood if he slides.

Pick 30 – Adelaide – Andrew OTTEN (15/05/89) 192/86
Otten is a very attractive size for a modern player and can play through the midfield and up forward. He should be taken somewhere in the second round with Hawthorn, Adelaide, Sydney and Kangaroos all showing interest. Adelaide have also shown an interest in Mitch Farmer he’s a good chance to get selected here or at 27. Its possible the Crows might go tall here so guys like Kangers or Tarrant might come under consideration if that is the case.

You were pretty much spot on perfect with your predictions. Good job. :thumbsu:
