Game changer, resulted in a goal for us and Mackie was sent to la la land, also LT has started handballing more around the fifty metre arc, not so selfish and more team oriented.:thumbsu:

Agree with all of the above, when it was his turn to go he went and man was it hard, committed, INSPIRING footy!!!

Thomas cops a bit, sometimes validly, but if he's going to that for the NM jumper then make him one of the first picked every week!

The vitriol he receives was really put in context last week when he kicked that goal and then kissed his guernsey.

He loves the club, has his weaknesses, but if he keeps chasing, working hard, tackling and putting his body on the line then we need to just take a step back and accept him for who he is.

I'd still be happier if he stayed on the wing. His delivery into the forward line is brilliant.

Gotta love Lindsay. His first effort on goal was awful, but great to see him bounce back from the other pocket only minutes later and drill it. The spoil on the wing showed his courage and maturity.

Would love if he took a leaf out of the geelong model, and started kicking checksides from 45 degree angles, wouldn't be surprised to see his goal tally sky rocket.

Yep, wish he'd try something different with his set shot routine. It is clearly not working.

Yep. I doubt the diving Thomas of 3 or 4 years ago would have done that. It was great to watch, and musthave really given his team-mates a lift. :thumbsu:

boy he absolutely cops it from supporters...but honestly...he was just sensational tonight. he does so much stuff off the ball that absolutely NO one sees. he niggles,, he sticks up for teammates and he gives 110% when he doesnt have the footy.

top 10 at the club...

Glen Archer would have been proud of that.

The pivotal moment in this historic match.

Outstanding.

I can't help but think how ridiculously dumb the football brains of our fans that continually bag him must be...

You cannot fault his attack on the ball and his pressure off it..

I can think of at least 4 goals that we got because of his tackling pressure and 2nd and 3rd efforts. Unfortuently many people forget those 1%'s he does that result in goals. We need to get behind him because his is really important to our structures.

That goal on the boundary was sheer brilliance.

What I really liked about that is that he had the balls to go for that shot after the disastrous set shot only a couple of minutes before. That said as much about his courage as the contest on the wing. Well, almost, the one on the wing was outstanding.
