Losing derbies never bothers me, unless it's for a GF then i'd be upset, but as you guys are about as likely to be in that position as Richmond are, so we won't have to worry about it will we chumps ?

No need for the Brasso we keep our trophies nice and shiny although with the amount we have it's getting costly. How about yourselves ? oh that's right you win trophies that have to be given back at the start of the year, oh well never mind you might win a real trophy one day

At yesterday's game we witnessed first hand the ugly side of the West Coast Eagles supporters.

They hit a new low when they began throwing projectiles at Josh Carr when he was close to the boundary during the fourth quarter.

There is no place in Australian sport for this kind of behaviour. The AFL must act immediately to send a clear message that supporters cannot engage in this kind of hooliganism.

In the English Premier League, the FA has learnt the hard way that the "softly softly appraoch" to supporter behavior does not work - They have realised that the only way to punish fans for bad behaviour is to punish the club.

Players must know that they are safe when they are on the field.

The AFL must act to punish the WCE for their inability to control their supporters.

In my view the AFL has two options:

(1) Deduct premiership points from the WCE; or

(2) Lock out the WCE next home game hence depriving club of gate revenue, and the WC fans of the spectacle.

I guarantee if any Freo supporters had known at the time what Selwood was alleged to have said during the last derby he would have copped the same treatment Carr did yesterday. Bear in mind I am in now way trying to excuse the actions of my fellow supporters yesterday. I hope the guys who threw things are caught and the appropriate actions is given to them because there is no excuse for those type of actions. throwing objects at sportsmen while on the ground is fraught with danger and can end a career that way.

The Freo supporters who whinged, and still whinge about Selwood after the last derby is living proof of your hypocricsy. Your having a go at us for whinging about Carr's tactics and head games then grin like a chesire cat when there wasn't enough evidence to convict him, yet you screamed blue murder when Selwood got off for his tactics and mind games when there wasn't enough evidence to convict him either. If at the end of this you say "well difference is Carr didnt do anything illegal/it never happened while Selwood did do it despite no evidence because i beleive Des" then your only proving my point.

Yet you still try and claim the moral highground.

To the victors go the spoils and you earnt your win yesterday but stop trying to fool anyone into thinking you can take the moral high ground here, you're only fooling yourselves.

We aren't, but by the same token you lot and the crusading West Coast Australian with 4 day coverage blamed every Freo' supporter for the booing thing with Judd, which was booing the decision, not Judd.
If it was the other way around, Freo' supporters would be being crucified by WCE fans and the print media, a big deal would've been made of it
