Selwood is Geelong, Geelong have so many fingers in so many AFL + media pies that it's a given.
Greene is GWS, need controversy to gain media clicks for an expansion team, and Greene provides them in spades.

Yeah not sure I buy that mate, bit of conspiracy theory. Not sure how the AFL are helping us considering we haven’t won a flag in 10 years.

Because the afl have different rules for players based on their media profile and their standing within the afl industry. There's the untouchables (Cotchin, Selwood, etc..), the villians (hi Toby) and the (fodder) rest. 3 sets of rules.
