It's not. But in the same way as a fend off if you get them high, a legal act becomes illegal.I was referring it was not against the rules to raise your leg when receiving the ball, sorry should of clarified better.

Too bad it wasnt a speccieMost speckies involve high contact.
I thought it was deliberate and bloody disgusting tbh. The fact it was Greene and we have never seen this happen before in how many years of footy suggests it was probably deliberate. Why didn't he raise his knee like normal? Why did he extend his leg? Bloody sicko.
On iPhone using BigFooty.com mobile app
**** off StrawmanNot relevant. You sure didn't have a problem with Steven King kicking Jeff White in the face did you hypocrite?
Nothing in it at all.
To protect himself and the space around him so he could then get rid of the ball legally without being tackled? He's allowed to do that. It's a shame he connected with Dahl, and he might go for the high contact, but he is allowed to stick his foot up there.WTF would you stick your foot up like that for? Totally reckless and deserves to go. Channel 7 Nuffies doing their best to downplay a scum act.
A speckle implies there were two people in the marking contest, this was not the case. Most speckies involve high contact.

I've always wondered about players using a boot to fend off (copped a torn up chest and broken ribs from one a few years back, was intentional though)
Stupidly didn't miss a game. Thanks hahaI agree it's a stupid thing to do and don't see how it's necessary to ever raise the leg.
Hope you recovered ok
Wasn't a marking contest, but I agree.Took the mark.
Allowed to protect himself.
Absolutely no case to answer.
Probably best not to comment when you start off with a completely wrong statementTook the mark.

I see it as intentional as well. Most players when marking do not extend their leg out. This situation should be no different.
