Should have been Front on contact against dahlhaus. no eyes for the ball was never going get a spoil in. Greene had his eyes on the ball the entire time and dahlhaus is a dumb campaigner with no spatial awareness

It happens almost any time a player is sitting under a ball and an opponent is running back with the flight.
Normally ends up being around thigh height though (unless it's Jarrad Waite doing it).

Never copped a boot doing that. More a knee. This was in a ruck contest and he ran jumped and basicallyfly kicked me in the chest as I tapped the ball. Only had eyes for me (so completely different to this)

Of course he was, doesn't mean he can stop momentum on a dime.

His momentum carried him into the boot, Greene didn't karate kick him or aim for his face, just stuck out the boot to protect the area and unfortunately an opponent ran into it.

It's a case of shit happens in footy.

Yeah, you got me real good, because i gave no opinion on an issue ten years ago thats got nothing to do witth what Greene did. The shame of it all.

It wasn't a kick, but more a fend-off. If a fend-off goes high, it's a free against. Usually, fend-offs are done with a palm, so there is little chance of causing injury and a free kick is sufficient.

That said, if you stick your elbow up to fend off a player and he runs into it, you'll get suspended. Even if you are stationary and the player runs into it, you'll be in trouble. Same with a fist. You stick your fist up - not strike - but put it in a position where a player runs onto it and breaks his nose, it will be a suspension.

I don't see why this should be any different. It might not be intentional, but it is certainly careless.

It's more dangerous than a fend off with the elbow of forearm, and it is clearly a fend off with studs up. It looks like he goes for the chest and instead gets the face. Hard to argue there wasn't an intent to fend off as he is facing him and extends the leg at him with Dalhaus having minimal time to react to it as well.

Definite free kick though..you can't take someone high with a fend off in general play, esp not studs up.

Re Mrp, if it's argued as a fend off, even careless, medium impact with high contact is 2 weeks? (Please correct if wrong)
