I don't know why the fu** anyone is comparing Bont's hit on Haynes to what Greene did. One is a footballing action that was an accident, and the other is a scumbag action that Greene went out of his way to do. There's no possible way to argue he had any business doing what he was doing.
Is it just cause both incidents involved Bont so the hurr durr brigade is out in force?

There is literally no comparison between the two, and anyone mentioning them as being similar needs to stop sniffing glue.
A bit protective of your own player there.

He kicked someone in the face studs up while going for a hand pass and got away with it. Players get suspended for jumper punching. I feel this whole narrative that he is hard done by the AFL is false.
Creating space at the time. Which was illegal as he clipped someone in the head and so got a fine.

The other times were in the body and legal until everyone whinge and we have the mess we have now.

All he needs to do now is squirrel grip & he’s ticked all the boxes.

Not sure he can tick all the boxes unless he plays AFLW but yeah the squirrel grips still on the cards.

It was a vile act. Hopefully he is suspended for it. Although, the decision making from this administration is so rubbery, a fine wouldn’t surprise.
What act? The face massage and hair pull? Happened multiple times this week and all they got were fines

Just happened to occur after he got pushed around a bit by Deboer, then got into a scuffle with Shaw, then got done for a high tackle 20 seconds later on Williams, and then 45 seconds later he runs straight into Haynes neck... all within 2 minutes of footy... complete accident nothing to see here

The clear eye gouge. I doubt any other incidents were as serious. Even if they were and only fines were handed out - it just means the AFL are piss weak when it comes to this sort of stuff - it doesn’t make what Greene did any less odious.

What about when he spat on Miles or was that just playing on the edge?

I don't really care if you can't clearly see an eye gouge. Why does he need to have his hands near Bontempelli's face in that situation other than trying to cause harm?

It's clearly an aggressive, unnecessary act with the intent to cause harm to an opponent who's on the ground in a vulnerable position. I hope they throw the book at the coward.

You don't care? So you like to make shit up.

You don't care? So you like to make s**t up.

I didn't make anything up. I just said I hope he gets rubbed out based on the evidence you can see (hair pulling, forcefully putting his hands/fingers into an opponents face). If there was eye gouging as well then hopefully he doesn't play until well into next season.

Imagine if someone grabbed Nic Nat's hair and slammed his head into the ground?! He'd punch the guy to kingdom come and be justified in doing it.

Absolute joke

Maybe he was just trying to be annoying and not necessarily cause harm as such. I actually think that’s more likely since Bont didn’t really show any damage to his face.
