my guess would be no ... his hands are closed and the ball isn't in them so fumble comes to mind.

Thanks for the writeups, good to hear that some of the boys are in good nick. It's a little hard to tell how some of the younger ones went given that the senior defenders didn't play, but we'll take any signs as positive ones at this stage!

How did Sam Hunt go? Is he any sort of a chance to break into your best 22 at some stage during the year? I think he has a fair bit to offer, if given a chance. You would think Bomber must have seen something in him, in order to promote him off the rookie list, or is he just there to provide backup?

They looked rusty, seemed like concentration was on ball movement and most guys didnt go up hard in contests, especially defensively...

They were probably told to do that to prevent injuries (tho I'm just guessing at this).

My guess is that he would be backup at the moment (behind scarlett, harley and egan) but there will be chances through injury, suspension and form through out the season.
I reckon they see a big guy who is reasonably quick and willing to run out of defense and kick long. Over the next few years he will be fighting it out with lonergan and possibly playfair to break into that tall defensive position.
