:D cant wait!

Jack will be happy, no room for playfair!

I have not heard much at all on Grima, only that he can play. I won't expect to see him untill 2007 though.

Tassie is only 30 mins away by plane. He should be here by the weekend, not 2007.

Didn't he kick that bag against the NT or something?

Hardly the best opposition.
True but then again no-one from any of the other sides kicked close to that.

McKinley kicked 6 in one of the first division games but there wasn't any other bags kicked apart from Grima's.

Tassie coach was quoted in Inside Football saying that he will end up being a clubs third talll in a pocket or a flank.

We have him for up to 2 seasons so lets just see how he goes in the VFL playing along side McCarthy & Lonergan. Hopefully the VFL sie is a bit stronger next season so that our forwards get a bit more of a go.

I think Grima kicked 7 against the Falcons and a bag against Bendigo

Owen also kicked his only bag against the Falcons - 6

I wonder if Wellsey watched the odd Falcons game this year

No sh*** but I highly doubt e will crack it into the team next year.. whos spot will he take? At best he would be after MAckie for a spot in the team. Needs to impress in VFL first

Im from Tassie and I've been following Grima pretty closely over the past few years, playing under 18's for Tassie Mariners, VFL for the Devils and locally in the NTFL with the Northern Bombers.
I was surprised he didn't get picked up in the national draft after his performances at the Under 18 Championships, but I think he will impress in the VFL as a rookie and break the Tassie hoodoo at Geelong.
He comes from a sporting family as his older brother Nathan plays for Tassie in the VFL and his sister Hollie plays in the WNBA and is in the Commonwealth Games squad.
And he doesn't know how to punt because I had to show him how to put a box trifecta on at the pub on Melbourne Cup day.
Go Todd

The guy has been taken as a rookie in an apparently weak draft, what are his weaknesses, he certainly must have some.
On the drafting area , some have questioned if he has height for a KPP.

This one response by Stiffy18

James Fantasia (Adelaide's recruiting manger) was asked in one of the radio interviews prior to Pre-season and rookie drafts why was a player like Grima overlooked in the ND and would he be a chance to be picked up by us since he was been training with us for a while. His answer was that by the latest mesurements he was 191 cm and an "in-between" height so he doesn't have a set position at AFL level.

If Grima is 191 cm as Fantasia said and if he had a hand-span smaller than average for his height, he will be struggling to play KP at AFL level.Time will tell if he makes it and what position he makes it in.

Does he have the game?. He looked good in the U18 game kicking ten but Im not sure he was what Id call a power forward. This may be an advantage , as the guys with the body that gives them an edge usually stuggle, he might have the tricks to get him by, as the man said only time will tell.
