We all know and love them. The black dude who plays a bit part to give the TV Show/Film ethnic balance. They are usually used in teen movies, comedies and horror movies. They say little, but provide the film with a street edge. They usually die first.

So who are the greatest Token Black Guys (TBG's)?

I don't watch much South Park but actually naming the black kid Token was pretty sharp.

Accidental tokenism goes to The Amazing Race a few years back when they were doing the full family contesting the race. I was watching the first ep wondering if there would be a token black family and then they appeared in the screen;

"the BLACK family".

Yes, the token black family's name was actually the Black family. I lost my shit laughing

The original one wasn't a token.Whenever they replace a cast member they seem to go for a similar looking person,so the 2nd Asian chick [and now 3rd ?] are tokens.

Friends had a token black chick in it for awhile.I think she was dating Ross.
I always chuckle when I see the episode of Whose Line Is It Anyway and Wayne Brady does the line "Mummy,why doesn't anyone on Friends look like me ?"

MASH had a token black surgeon in the early episodes who went by the name Spearchucker.I think he didn't last long as it was discovered there were no black surgeons in the Korean War.He just disappeared.
