I’m not convinced half of these events should be included on the Olympics. Anything that has a tournament that is more prestigious probs shouldn’t compete. I’ll be in the minority I’m sure but half these athletes seem to not care that participate in these events. Tennis, soccer, golf, baseball, basketball etc. I’d like the Olympics kept closer to the original events with natural growth and progression.
Maybe I’m just getting old and bitter

Nope that's fair, I agree with you completely. Those events that already have a professional game (basketball, tennis, boxing, football) should be either removed or made strictly for amateurs / semi professionals.

Just rewatched that world record and olympic gold from the 4x100 womens freestyle relay. It's just such a dominant swim, a body length and a bit ahead of the others in that entire last lap.

I think that is a popular opnion.

If the Olympics is not the peak of your sport then it should not be in.

Although we should try and add AFLX and Rugby League so we can get easy golds.
