Soccer is in its worst state in this country for decades. The senior team is way below average and the youngsters coming through aren’t worth p!ssing on.

The shelf is pretty bare of talent.

That second half of the Olyroos game was depressing. Did nearly all the attacking, great goal keeping by the Egyptian goalie, and then a piss easy counter attack goal scored against us and 1/4 final chances sicker than a covid patient in icu.

Just dawned on me this must be the first Olympics since Seoul that Dave Christensen hasn't been the Hockey commentator. Pretty sure he has been the voice of Hockey in Oz since the Barcelona games.

Different bloke. Alister vs Alistair. The ex Melbourne player at the start of the season become the CEO of the AFL coaches association after about 8 years or so as CEO of Australian Cricketers Association - took over from whenever Paul Marsh moved to the AFLPA CEO role.
