Tokyo Olympics

Ryan Crouser smashed the shot put WR just a few weeks ago - looks a genuine lock even at $1.30 to take gold in a sport where i rekon there is just about the lowest variance. Would probably have to contract rona to actually lose.

Jacobs is a medal chance.
May look into Jacobs a bit more closely. Bromwell looks the man to beat though, he ran 9.77 seconds earlier this year. He is the man to beat after coming back from the wilderness with an injury in 2017. I like him to win but would want odds of at least 2.50 or better.

any views on the pinnacle event of the Olympics? the 100 metres final

The sports been included at this Olympics: skateboarding, surfing, sports climbing and baseball- increases the US chances of gold medals and medals.

To be fair, China would vote against us holding the international hot dog eating championships atm

What about the dog eating championships?

(Probs going to be hard to run down Busan for that)

These are the potential teams for tonights game:

Argentina Under-23s possible starting lineup:

Having a degen punt on the Spain Egypt mens soccer. Hit all the total goal overs - 3.5 ($2.80) up to 8.5 ($126) staked accordingly for roughly equal potential profit. My small bit of research showed that Spain have multiple quality players while Egypt are quite shit but have scored goals in the lead up friendlies so hopefully they have a go and don't just park the bus.

Have also had a go at both teams to score at $2.66

No idea at all obviously but it's a punt on the Olympics and this is the olympics thread. Do not recommend tailing

Interested to know who’s everyone’s pick in the Artistic swimming, the Russians are looking mighty tough to beat.
Also the Equestrian Team Dressage looks like the Germans for the taking. Keen to see who takes out the Sailing and the gymnastics should be riveting viewing, also the Fencing and Badminton will be edge of the seat stuff.

Can‘t wait on your thoughts and who your best bets for these events are

1st round of Basketball matches in the mens (best odds from: Sportsbet, TAB and Smarkets Betting Exchange):

Iran 9.80 v 1.07 Czech Republic
Germany 2.94 v 1.42 Italy
Australia 1.32 v 3.60 Nigeria
France 6.40 v 1.14 USA
Argentina 2.82 v 1.47 Slovenia
Japan 13 v 1.04 Spain

France at the handicap and a bit on the outright looks a decent bet. Not sure if Booker/Middleton/ Holiday will be ready to go from the get-go switching from NBA Finals to Olympics.

NYRB will be back with some stats shortly! Hold up

Most of these players are under 23's and didn't play in the major continental tournaments eg euro2020 and Copa America.

Don't think fatigue should be a major issue.

olmo, pau torres, olyzarbal, simon, garcia and pedri from the starting eleven all played the euros lol? and asensio, ceballos, miranda all top class playing for their teams in their leagues
