Decent chance for a Rising Star nom this week.

The prospect of he and Gov down back for the next 10 years is so assuring. If only we had a midfield.

Sheed, Duggan Nelson ....will develop

Shuey and gaff have improvement ...neither is old

Needs a new number next year # 19 would seem like a good fit our two KPD in 19 and 20.

Tommy is coming along at a very nice pace , really impressive decision making and I suspect as time goes on his contested marking will become a real asset.

Just a ******* pity our recruiting staff don't have an equally good eye for spotting mids as they do tall's.:rolleyes:

They have talent ....just don't work hard enough

3. West Coast must have been em-Barrassed at dropping Tom
Eagles fans were left scratching their heads when young defender Tom Barrass was dropped back to the WAFL in favour of the more experienced Eric Mackenzie for the match against Collingwood. After all, Barrass had done little wrong in the weeks leading up to that game. Mackenzie was then so disappointing against the Magpies that Barrass was immediately recalled. And he started well against Fremantle, partnering with Jeremy McGovern to show just how tough a proposition it’s going to be for opposition sides to take marks inside 50 against West Coast over the next 10 years. By the end of the match, he had reeled in six important marks to go with his 11 possessions.

At 194cm he can play on the big boys too
he is taller than schofield. Schofield is listed as 196cm. i guess he has had a growth spurt since being drafted.

that him and schoey a few years back

So gws all 3 of gws talls are above 196cm. Lobb is is the tallest at 206cm. I guess barrass goes to him. schofield to cameron and mcgovern to patton.

I'm assuming this was on the AFL website?

These guys have one job - to report on football yet they get relatively simple things wrong. Barass was not sent back to the WAFL he was rested. East Perth didn't even play last weekend.

Now we can all argue the merits or otherwise of resting him and only barass and the club know just how sore he really was but a paid journalist worth his salt shouldn't be getting these type of things wrong

Especially when it takes about 30 seconds to bring up the wafl stats for last week

Their care factor is 0.

Given their market is basically Victoria, where the majority there have a care factor of 0... explains it all, really.

dunno but our guys in recent years have been made to earn it. sheed last year was stiff to get overlooked for many weeks.

Reminds me of Lake. Having Barrass and McGovern in the same team should be illegal.
he reminds me off harry Taylor.
Im hoping next season barrass is good enough to take the number one forward and schoefield is let off the leash a bit to rebound. However, if emac finds form, then he will take the number one forward and barrass takes the number 2.
