He led our side for contested marks on the weekend with 4... I actually don't think he is that bad with the one on one contests see contest against redpath it's more his mentality for defense he's not really desperate enough needs to scrap for a spoil and try and be more disruptive. At this stage he thinks too offensively and marks his player too loose which has led to him getting killed on the lead.

As long as we have a midfield that picks and chooses when it applies pressure, and there are stodgy plodders in there unable to defend on the quick break, our tall defenders will get beaten on the lead regularly. It's just too hard to defend that scenario without giving away free kicks.

Doing pretty good for a player who has played under 50 games and is 21. He is very good at the intercept marking but poor in the one on ones and that is something he will learn the more games he plays. Not every player is like Gov who comes in and kills it from the get go.

Barrass is still younger now than McGovern was when he debuted in 2014

I sat and watched on Sunday, he was garbage. He doesn't know when to leave his man and impact a contest, he goes too late meaning there's an easy handball over the top. He doesn't know how to defend the way we are trying too. Offensively, he is a scaredy cat. He doesn't want the ball and when he does geee wiz strap yourselves in for a skill error or a bad decision. He is 30 and a FA at seasons end. Mackenzie in the team is stupid as we need Gov down back. And no Mackenzie can't play on smalls, sick of that bullshit chat. Barrass is 21 and our long term future. Schofield (I know he was injured) so much better than Mackenzie in the team. We don't need 3 tall's in the backline, when Hurn plays "tallish".

@avishka you sound like our MC sitting on the fence, waiting eagerly to see if a player thats been on our list for 8 years might finally show something. It has rubbed off to you.
