Triple M went nuts for him as the game went on,
Went from,
Could get a R.S nomination to
Lock in R.S nomination to
Might make a late play to win the whole thing to
Might win the Brownlow..
All pretty funny of course but there was a serious love fest going on. Chris Ditmar said that he must be a gettable trade target for the power if we've only played this bloke in 8 games..
Dreaming.

Also.... Another player who the commentators still cant decide on how to pronounce his surname..

LOL obviously doesn't watch us play. Emac was given more than half the season to justify his spot and now barrass has come in and justfied his spot.

As his player sponsor I knew this guy had the goods from when I first saw him playing early last year

He only needed the confidence that he belongs at this level to shine like he did tonight

Sexualbarassment baby

I called him out as a star two years ago seriously good draft pick though

I called him out as a star when he was in kindergarten and was still shitting his pants.

Sit down.

Barrass was drafted with pick 43 of the 2013 AFL Draft

Just let this sink in: Barrass is still only 20 yo, has just played his 12th game of AFL footy and managed to out-gov McGovern. 10 marks(6 intercepts), 10 1%s, 17 disposals at 94% efficiency.

Seriously, I know we get kissed on the dick when it comes to KPDs, but when was the last time we saw a performance from a youngster like this? Jako?
Cast your mind back to Glassy's first 30 games. Any time he got the ball, he'd shit himself, not knowing what to do with it. Emac had a bit of deer in the headlights about him in his first 30 games too.

To see how assured Tommy B was last night, making the correct decision every single time- amazing really.

You could tell from his u/18 videos that he had a) very good intercept marking b) very clean (but positive - not just super conservative) disposal by foot.

Obviously you can't base decisions off one highlights reel, but with those traits, how did he slide so far? Did we hide him?

He was in Darling's tent

Sensational last night. If that doesn't give him a Rising Star nomination i don't know what else would have. Him and McGovern are very similar defenders but we still need that big key defender to handle the power forwards of the game.

Schofield doesn't cut the mustard as a KPD for me and is fortunate enough with the press we play that Walker's influence was negated last night.

Mckenzie hopefully finds his mojo. Guy can lovk down but also know when to peel off and take intercept marks

X Ellis is the hero we've never had and always wanted. We need this guy to go and get involved in fox or 7 in Melbourne and just pull their biased shit to pieces.
Because he played/was listed at Hawthorn for most of his carreer he has authority that the other players don't have as they would just be thought of a whingers. definitely great to have around.

He's not your traditional KPD but Schoey adds something different to the team. He won't win as many one on ones as the best defenders in the league but he does provide options out of defence and is willing to take the game on and back his run and skills. Which sets him far and above Mackenzie. To put it straight he compliments our back line nicely.

I saw his potential when taking intercept marks in his dads sack.
Question must be asked.

Why were you that close to his Dads sack?
