He's not going to Carlton. He's heading to Adelaide for Dangerfield's compensation (pick 15).

Bell is a readymade replacement for Aish (admittedly a different type of player) who will walk into the starting line-up from game 1 next year. Aish has been a pain in the backside so they will be more inclined to shuffle off their problems to someone else even if they take a slight loss on the deal.

Fair enough. Reading the Brisbane Board you'd swear he was treacle slow plodder who can't kick over a jam tin who's only trick is tackling.

Any chance we might get a decent player in return for Bell? Wouldn't mind that Aish kid is he still looking to come to Victoria?

Recent word is that he's 50/50 on staying/going and not real hot on Carlton - though Trigg is very keen I believe.

More likely to get Redden (who we're pushing for) if he doesn't go to SA/WA or a second rounder that they get for Leuenberger or Aish himself.

We should be speaking to Gold Coast. Still in QLD, but if we can do a better deal with them we should consider it. Aish comes across as a prima donna who has had sunshine blown up his ass all throughout his junior career.

Am a big fan of bell, can't begrudge him for wanting to go home over this.
 
We could get involved in a 3 way trade with West Coast if this is the case.

Brisbane want Bell
West Coast want Redden

Anything on the West Coast list that is gettable and worthwhile for us.
