You can be cynical about a media personality's agenda without playing the 'poor me' card.

I'm not a fan of the "call it as I see it" card, because a lot of the time, they're not seeing it, and they're not telling it like it is. It's just something to hide behind when called out.

Partly the reason I find Triple M and the like utterly intolerable, and that has nothing to do with the Dogs or any sort of inferiority complex.

He doesn't hate us, it's just that there are a lot on here who revel in 'underdog' syndrome.
One thing that shits me about Some dogs supporters is they like to play the Poor me card
Jesus guys. Talk about condescending. Maybe your fellow supporters just see things differently to you. No need to project psychosis on them.

Personally I don't care about what Lyon says or thinks but think if there's a boot to stick into our club he doesn't normally miss. Especially if it's a chance to deflect from Melbourne.

That's cool, I just don't see it that way. And don't worry, there's heaps of Dogs supporters who revel in being the battler. Me, I'd rather we had 200,000 members and were as arrogant as f*ck.

I don't see much evidence of that here. Owning something and reveling in it are two very different things. I think you'd be hard pressed to find a supporter who doesn't wish we had the support and money of Collingwood.

Perhaps they're not all that good at displaying that desire then? Not sure, but I've seen a lot over the journey. I have a friend who I sometimes see at the footy. Let's call him Merv H. Actually no, let's call him M Hughes. As good a bloke as there is, but he loves the underdog game.

EDIT: I sound like a flog sorry. I'll just pick up that name I dropped.

Met him once, seemed like a spanner.

Garry Lyon is a self indulgent flogstick too btw.

Nah he's a legend. Funniest man around. Haven't met Lyon.
Yeah, my dad met him a couple of times when he was younger because their mums or grandmas were friends (I can't remember which). He remembers Hughes always being pretty intense while still being a pretty good bloke.
