This must be what it's like to be a north Melbourne supporter. You guys have a meltdown every week.

North's season is that melted puddle in the corner.

Boyd belts his mate Cordy and they still go away on holidays together a week later.

I am shocked and AMAZED that the flogs posting here have missed the gay domestic violence angle. o_O

So if nothing happened why have they both been given an indefinite suspension?

If the club knew of the incident and were planning to release their statement why did Beveridge indicate early this week that Boyd was a chance to return this week? Wouldn't he have replied with something along the lines of "Boyd is unavailable for selection this week" and leave it at that until they decided to announce it. No, they tried to conceal the incident which was a mistake.

I agree the story somehow stayed under wraps and probably still would if Barrett hadn't got word of it. I dislike this bloke as much as anyone but to blame him for going hard at your club and how it tried to cover this up is (which is what he does) is being a bit rich. I bet you had no problems with his attack on Martin after thr Chinese restaraunt fiasco which turned out to be nothing.

Glass houses folks..........
Because they lied to the club about the incident and how Cordy got his cut.

Well at the time it was an in house issue so of course they weren't going to say he wasn't available for selection otherwise people would ask why.

Barrett is just a flog. But he wasn't the one who was going to break the story. He's just pissy that the Dogs have black-listed him.

I get that but I don't understand the secrecy from either the players or the club.

If all that happened was a one punch "piss off" to a mate then why would the players lie?

The fact that the club too wouldn't even say when it happened leads people to assume there's something to hide.

No idea why they didn't just come clean, maybe they thought they'd get in more trouble?

At the moment the club has bigger things to worry about with the game in Sydney today.

So you dont think the club owes it to their members, fans etc to be honest why their prized recruit is unavailable for selection. Poorly handled by the club and you should be peeved as a result.

Considering they didn't do anything against the law then the club doesn't have to tell us anything. They deemed it an internal matter, only one's letting the members down are Boyd and Cordy through a couple of stupid decisions.

I had the same argument on twitter with the AFC on Brad Crouchs non-selection. The club knew he was sanctioned and wasn't going to play yet Don Pyke talked him up as if he was a strong chance to play. Story broke that night and it made Pyke seem foolish ( in my eyes) and the club looked secretive.

Get it out and be ahead of the pack. You cannot control the media if they lead the chase

Absolutely, assaulting someone is definitely not against the law. In fact more people should be doing it, the next time the doggies players go out for a drink they should all assault each other and make sure everyone needs to go to the hospital to get stitches.

Poor choice of words on my behalf. Would have been better off saying that it isn't a legal matter as charges weren't laid.

Except it wasn't an assault and it wasn't against the law. Take your attempted smart are trolling elsewhere.

So what really did happen, anyone prepared to share
According to opposition supporters, Boyd destroyed the very fabric of society, possibly with a weapon.
According to Bulldogs supporters, absolutely nothing, and how ****ing dare you mention the subject.

Cordy tipped beer on Boyd. Boyd was "mucking" around and started wrestling with him, and clipped him by accident. The 2 then went on a holiday together the week after

Can we move on now?

:D Thats the bit with grey all over it, especially if stitches were required.

And if it was an accident ( please ) why the club ban ?

Sounds like 2 players on the squirt getting into a punch up, Cordy started it and lost, no big deal IMO

No, what happened was Cordy was mocking boyd about his pay wage and team contributions that boyd gave him a tombstone piledriver.

Because what they done is still not right. He was hit where it's easy to get cuts. If it was a big force, he would of gotten more

Shits me how his dollar amount comes into it, has nothing to do with anything

We should just list him as having "personal issues"?
