You literally admitted to constantly posting negatively about Boyd.

So now we've established you dislike Boyd. And like to call for unrealistic outcomes.

And then, you have the stupidity to question someone else for cherry picking, while doing it yourself.

I'm also a little concerned as to why you're still questioning why conca isn't in jail. It doesn't take much for you to get obsessed. Does it?

This is coming from the bloke who assumes I am targeting Tom Boyd - just because I wasn't aware of the violent actions of others. And you want to start having digs at me, get real Tim. Next time you want to derail a thread make it worth my time. Good day.

You admitted to it you silly silly child. It was literally your second response to me.

I'll see you at mark jamars murder trial.

Posting about someone in a negative fashion (due to violence/on field performance) doesn't mean that I dislike them. But I shouldn't expect you to know that. Have a lovely day kiddo.

So you claim you're not targeting him
Yet:
Admit you constantly post negative things about him
Don't post about violence of other players (even worse cases)
Make up personal things about him (most players don't like him) then claim you have sources
Spend a fair amount of time dedicated to a player you don't "target"
Have your history of constantly attacking this player questioned

Yes. You're coming out of this looking good

He also just happened to bump a hogan vs Boyd poll on the polls board yesterday. Coincidental timing?

Highlights that alcohol is still a problem in society

He will learn from it for sure ...probably frustrated at his injuries and not playing much .....built up anger

Someone lights a fuse ...usually over something meaningless like a comment about your car or something stupid ....boom

Pressure .....fuse ....someone lights fuse ....boom .....see it everyday with men

You see men assaulting their mates to the point of needing stitches every day?

No, this is not normal behaviour

Tom Boyd (IMO) is a prime reason why there needs to be a salary restructure for AFL players. Throwing copious amounts of money at kids does not teach them maturity, make ALL of them earn it.

example:

Under 21's < $300K per year
22-25's $301K-$500K per year
25's + > $501K per year.

No, this is not normal behaviour

Its typical behavior from drunken teenagers, no place in the AFL for it.

No, not even with typical teenagers is it typical behaviour. With certain types of teenagers who get aggressive and abusive when they drink and get drunk then yes, that is typical, but to try to shrug this off as normal behaviour is just wrong. Idiots and morons fall into his category.

Boyd to the Dogs may end up being the biggest trading disaster in AFL history. It's looking more and more a possibility as every week rolls on. Not a certainty, but a chance.

Maybe even worse than the Lovett trade.

Luckily the Dogs still have the Bont. He will take them to the promised land.

Whether or not it is a disaster remains to be seen. He is 20yo, has shitloads of talent but hasn't shown it yet, like Mc Cartin, who hasn't exactly set the world on fire yet. Because these players need patience and time. Mc Cartin will be a gun, but already St. Kilda fans making him out to be 3 times better than what he is at the moment . Give Boyd another couple of years and then say he is no good.

Disagree mate. Who as a teenager hasn't got pissed and started on someone? Are you a monk?

I've wanted the AFL to extend the fixed contracts for draftees out to 4 years, with an increase in performance based pay to make sure those guys who are finishing high in B+F's at that age are being rewarded.

But after 4 years or so in the system many midfielders particularly are pretty much at their prime and should be able to earn whatever they can on the free market.

Boyd's a pretty unique scenario and his contract helps his and his managers bank balance, but I'm not sure it helps his career or anyone else.

All that said, this could be the making of Boyd.

He's not going to be treated like Bambi anymore and he'll have to be ready for criticism that comes his way, unfairly or not.

Plus we now know he can be physical, even if it's in a drunk brawl with his mate. He's a massive unit and can probably start bringing it to his play at AFL level now.

Didn't Boyd essentially take Ayce Cordy's (Zaine's brother) list spot, being a similar project forward/ruckman type? Could be something in that.

The elder Cordy didn't exactly make the most of his opportunities either, or live up to his potential as a first round draft pick, but he was coming from a lot further back physically (203cm and just 78kg when drafted), and was never on the massive coin that Boyd is, either.

Seems like everybody's an expert on the economics of the Boyd deal.

In a theoretical open market, say if he was a free agent, at the end of 2014, every single club would have offered him 800k per year for 7 years.

Seriously dont get the Boyd hate and hate is exactly what it is. Shock horror a young player had a tussle with a mate :eek:. To the other issue causing so much angst, please tell me who wouldnt leave their jobs if somebody else offered them a massive pay rise? that aside he is a developing big boy that will take time to get there just like Hawkins, McCartin etc. I look forward to him making plenty eat humble pie. People need to back off him and let the bloke develop, his wages have nothing to do with you haters

Have the Footscray mods been editing your posts again ?

Afl ahould not have to protect clubs from themselves... bet no dogs fans were saying this when he signed.

There is nothing in that .... they are friends
