Mate its not even worth the reply. All I can say is good luck stopping the dogs when Boyd Stringer and Redpath all mature and hit there peeks.

We have all done silly stuff on the turps mate its character building. If Jesse Hogan did the same thing you wouldnt be saying this.

Yes I would. Why Would I think it's character building to snot a teammate while out on the turps.
Also I don't need him to do this stuff to prove to me he has mongrel.

It happens mate just goes to show Boyd is a normel 20 year old kid but he will be fine he comes from a good family and is actully very sensible this very much out of character for him.
 
The fact the dogs tried to hide this is worse than Tom doing it in the first place. Dogs should have been on the front foot. They have a platform that so many don't to address it and they pull this. Tsk tsk tsk

Yes because Geelong have never hidden anything. Every club hides stuff mate I'm sure the dogs have lot of secretes about libba.

Not necessarily. I wonder how many trivial incidents have never seen the light of day over the history of this competition, because the club and parties involved sorted things out internally and nobody was any worse off?
 
Stupid thing to do and deserves the punishment. Club was stupid to hide it. If we had known how quick we would bounce back up the ladder we may not have done the deal. That said, we need Boyd. While it was nice to see Minson enjoy another win John Longmire would have given us more as a ruck forward.

Oh dear, are you saying young players should go out, get on the gas and then king hit someone so they can become tougher footy players?

It was said in jest but its not the end of the world a 20 year old has a dust up havent we all at that age? Heck Libba passed out with drugs on him and he responded with a bnf and he will go close to winning it again this year its no big deal.

Yeah I agree. I assumed Boyd would have been suspended - was surprised to see him named this week (VFL). But, the AFL haven't responded appropriately on the issue, and I expect now Barrett will hold them all accountable. This story will go through another week, and both the AFL and Bulldogs will have some questions to answer. The AFL either take violence (in general) seriously, or they only take certain types of violence seriously. I actually think the Bullies have done Tom Boyd a disservice here, because he is being highlighted due to their inadequate response to the incident.

Give it a rest mate it was a lovers fight there joined by the hip Boyd and Cordy and still are so no big deal gave him a love tap and they where over it straight away.

"King hit"!?!?! Is that what happened? Were you there? If so, do tell.

I think the point stringertheking is trying to make is that perhaps this little episode between mates might help Tom to see that using his aggression in a more constructive way could be the making of him as a footballer at the highest level.

Pppfffffffffffhhhh .... king hit. Are you saying it's okay to inject your players with unknown substances in order to become better at footy?

I don't care if they are joined at the hip. I don't care if they are best mates. It isn't about Boyd, or the fight. It is about the response. Both the Bullies and AFL have a lot of questions to answer. Barrett won't let this die down, and when he doesn't, and when this continues to be an issue, do you think that helps Tom Boyd - who is already under pressure? No. It doesn't. Poorly handled by the Bulldogs. You can direct your anger at me all you want, I could not care less. That isn't going to make this story go away.

Even though I said it in jest I'm sorta happy to see Boyd show abit of anger all though im disapointed in Boydy in the way he handled himself maybe now he wont let people push him around on field.

You will find every club hides stuff we where just unlucky to get caught. At the end of the day all the AFL can do is give the club a fine make Boyd do some charity work. I think you are making it a bigger deal then it really is.
