Coach likes him, injuries more the issue this year.
Fair enough, despite all the talk I dont doubt Boyd's talent. I also think some players will work in some clubs systems better than others. I believe yours is holding him back to develop, consciously. Time will tell if it's a good call.

Part of the reason is because we've been unexpectedly good, a finals team, in his time here, we're actually playing him in part for what's best for the team rather than what's best for his personal development.

He would develop his forward craft, for example, by spending 100% of his time in the forward line. But structurally we've needed him to ruck (and by my guesstimate he was rucking 30-40% of his time on the ground in his games this year) which has been beneficial to our team structure and might help us win games but not necessarily for his personal development.

Spent most of the first half in the ruck (Roughead spent some time around the ground), and just marked and goaled from 50 at the start of the third. Intensity has been good.

Most of our goals have come from the midfielders.

Pretty sure in the first half most BF Saints fans were refreshing the AFL site with one hand and a bottle of lube in the other if their board is anything to go by.

Also pretty sure the hate fapping stopped as soon as Boyd clunked a couple and bombed one from outside 50.

We get it, Tom Boyd is gonna kick 1000 goals guaranteed and his next deal will be $3,000,000 a season, and for that matter Bontempelli will get just as much and the other 40 players on the list will be happy splitting the other $5,000,000 between them no probs

Oh and I forgot to mention Marcus Bontempelli is already better then Ted Whitten, Chris Grant and Scott West and also makes Gary Ablett, both of them, and Nat Fyfe look like Auskickers

I mock Tom Boyd, but I wish your team all the best and hope we can both double our flags totals soon enough. You on the other hand have total hatred for my football club and frame your arguments to suit your point of view and had you been around in 2001 would likely have mocked us for taking Nick Riewoldt instead of Alan Didak even.
