Thanks HM. Sounds like Boyd already has a man's body. No. 1 pick next year?

I think 196cm/100kg. He's only 16!!How big is he? Are we talking ready made Patton-esque size? Or does he need to bulk up a little still if he's that tall?

He's now 199cm and 98kgs. He kicked 5 goals straight this week, had 11 hit outs, 11 possesions, 3 tackles in terrible wet, rainy conditions and was given best on ground in Eastern Ranges' win over the Geelong Falcons to follow up his 4 goal performance last round against Bendigo. He is still leading the Tac cup in goals with 31 from 9 rounds which is 12 ahead of the next best. How big is he? Are we talking ready made Patton-esque size? He has the body size to play against men NOW! he looks a mixture of Patton, Hawkins & David Hill. He slimmed down earlier in the season but seems to have put the weight back on (100kg) & isn't 17 until August. With his bulk,( he will get heavier still) I believe he will be more of a David Hill type of player, more a ruck/forward rather than a full forward. He's now 199cm and 98kgs. Here is an article of him written about a month ago: http://www.heraldsun.com.au/afl/loc...ges-to-vic-metro/story-fn53klc6-1226354564235

He was definately heavier last year, carried a bit of puppy fat which he's lost. Looked in real good shape on the weekend at Craigieburn - he's an imposing unit.He has the body size to play against men NOW! he looks a mixture of Patton, Hawkins & David Hill. I think Tom Hawkins is a good comparison in terms of size and game style and possibly Petrie as well with his contested marking. He has the size and athleticism to be a ruckman but he plays like a natural forward and has been playing there for Eastern Ranges this year so I still see him as a full forward. He has the body size to play against men NOW! he looks a mixture of Patton, Hawkins & David Hill. He actually only played 50% of the game on the weekend as he is playing for Vic Metro against Vic Country this Friday so I wouldn't read much into those stats. He was definately heavier last year, carried a bit of puppy fat which he's lost. Struggled a bit to impact the game though - 7 possies, 5 marks and just 1 goal even though his side won.
Fair point mate.He actually only played 50% of the game on the weekend as he is playing for Vic Metro against Vic Country this Friday so I wouldn't read much into those stats.
He looked brilliant against Country today.
Would not get passed the dogs mate!If we suffer horribly in the following 8 weeks of our draw, like the general concensus is, the Lions could very well end up with pick 4-5. And I would say we would snap him up if hes there.
0% chance of getting past us if he's there. Only way you'd get him is by trading for pick 1.If we suffer horribly in the following 8 weeks of our draw, like the general concensus is, the Lions could very well end up with pick 4-5. And I would say we would snap him up if hes there.
