Well he was knocked out and didnt play the whole game so i dare say thats close to the top of the scale. Will miss at least 6 no doubt.

There's been blatant punches thrown every round so far this year, the one they decided to make a stand on was the softest of the lot - a push to the jumper, while letting the others continue to run free. It's no surprise that now in two rounds of football we've had two players concussed and ruled out of the match early because of two punches. Was inevitable until the AFL decided to make a real statement, not scapegoat Hawkins like they did last year as well.
Hawkins being offered 2 weeks means that Bugg is surely looking at 6+ if the AFL wants to be serious about these sorts of things. Not holding my breath.
He will be made an example of for sure....it wouldn't surprise me if he copped 8! In a week after the Houli case and then the follow up interview with Hall & Staker you have to wonder what was Bugg really thinking here? IMO his career is over.
David Schwartz is on the tribunal. Severe reprimand and a 1 week ban from twitter.

There's surely a precedent for giving him an extra week for the sheer audacity to do that a week after the entire country was talking/arguing about Houli.
He certainly can't blame ignorance.
Probably the dumbest thing i've seen on a footy field since Corey McKernan costing himself a Brownlow just to be a dickhead
But was it worse just because of who threw it? Even before taking into account Hall's ability to throw a bunch, he's got 25kg on Bugg. Seems to me Bugg's was very similar to Hall's, if not even less reactionary.

Agree, it was just dumb. I think 5 weeks, move on and hopefully no more of these incidents.
There has to be a lot of very young people who post on here, some of the comments are like you saw a space ship land in your back yard.
The AFL have done a great job removing these things from the game, it happens so rarely now but it is still not surprising it happens.
I think it will continue to happen rarely also, these guys are all humans and not robots. They are all wired different to each other and every now and again one will snap and do something stupid.
It does not excuse it and he will rightfully cop his large suspension of 5-6 weeks. But he Isnt a serial killer, he is just a footballer who has stuffed up.
I just don't get what the big surprise is that something like this happens every now and again in a full contact sport they play.

Oliver and Bugg all in one week not a good look for your club. Better not mention Jordon Lewis hit earlier this year which was not dealt with correctly by AFL.
