Houli swung without looking. Bugg swung with the Swans player within vision.
He'll get 4-6 depending on record, medical report etc.
If this isn't close to 10 the AFL are kidding themselves. 6 is the absolute minimum

Give him 5 weeks and an extra one for being an idiot.
Well he was knocked out and didnt play the whole game so i dare say thats close to the top of the scale. Will miss at least 6 no doubt. To my knowledge force plays a big part in these decisions.

You are not biased???? Examine some of your posts! How exactly could that argument be made, apart from your biased view
Both players missed the rest of the game and it remains to be seen whether Mills misses next week.To my knowledge force plays a big part in these decisions.
Hall got 7 (probably worse hit) but times have changesIf this isn't close to 10 the AFL are kidding themselves. 6 is the absolute minimum
There's been blatant punches thrown every round so far this year, the one they decided to make a stand on was the softest of the lot - a push to the jumper, while letting the others continue to run free. It's no surprise that now in two rounds of football we've had two players concussed and ruled out of the match early because of two punches. Was inevitable until the AFL decided to make a real statement, not scapegoat Hawkins like they did last year as well.Think you'll finr that was a punch in the face champ
He will be made an example of for sure....it wouldn't surprise me if he copped 8! In a week after the Houli case and then the follow up interview with Hall & Staker you have to wonder what was Bugg really thinking here? IMO his career is over.Totally with you, I don't want to see an over reaction to a pretty rare thing in our game. Large penalties have largely taken the brain farts out of it.
Imagine if he had've hit Oliver- might've killed him! Keep them away from each other in boxing sparring!

But was it worse just because of who threw it? Even before taking into account Hall's ability to throw a bunch, he's got 25kg on Bugg. Seems to me Bugg's was very similar to Hall's, if not even less reactionary.Hall got 7 (probably worse hit) but times have changes
Agree, it was just dumb. I think 5 weeks, move on and hopefully no more of these incidents.I knew big footy would melt down over this. Somewhere between 4-6 then move on.

Oliver and Bugg all in one week not a good look for your club. Better not mention Jordon Lewis hit earlier this year which was not dealt with correctly by AFL.Oliver took a dive but he still played out the game.
Also, Mills was out of the game and although sitting on the bench he didn't look all that happy. He was clearly affected. There's surely a precedent for giving him an extra week for the sheer audacity to do that a week after the entire country was talking/arguing about Houli.
He certainly can't blame ignorance.
Probably the dumbest thing i've seen on a footy field since Corey McKernan costing himself a Brownlow just to be a dickhead
