Doubt that, he'd be a fantastic acquisition for many teams in need of a solid KPF. Talk is he went through a very unexpected break up with his long term partner which was the reason for him missing. Doubt that would be a lingering issue if true.
I was more concerned about injuries and accuracy. Contested one on one is elite however. Having said that, he couldn't possibly make Port worse

He's not really that injury prone and for the most part fixed his set shot issues last year. Never going to be a deadeye and will certainly spray a few every couple of weeks but if you told Hawthorn, Sydney or Brisbane they could pick up Mckay for a decent first rounder and some pocket change they'd absolutely jump at the opportunity.

Yeah but thats not going to happen as Harry is contracted and wont accept so Calton will have to either find $1.5 mil a year or risk losing him as the Saints offer is huge
I don't think Harry would refuse a trade if the club tried to push him out. Although he has some brain farts on field he's always had a very level head off it and talks about the game as a business etc.

Either way I don't think we'll have too many issues with the cash if it came to it, plenty of cash we can move on end of year but it would destroy any ability for us to bring in players in the future.

Hate to say it, but he's surely heading down the Geelong road....
Geelong have never looked to concerned with having an elite ruckman when was there last one a prime Steven king a while ago , I highly doubt they will pay over a million dollars a season to bring one in , tdk would have to take significant unders to go there which at his age I don’t think he does

We love multi dimensional rucks which he is so if we were going to pay well over 1mil for a ruck he would be the guy. But I doubt he wants to come to us anyway.

Who wouldn't is a better question. Mckay was fantastic last year and has played 1 bad game this season before taking leave for a personal matter.

I think he's been very inconsistent the last little while and that's a huge risk on the $ he's on. I doubt he would have many suitors unless Carlton chip in for part of the contract. Given that they are probably better off keeping him.

Go look at his output last year. 2023 was a shocker from a conversion perspective in front of the big sticks but his work up the ground and impact in the air has been elite for the last few 4-5 years.

Got his set shots right in 2024 and was a top 5 key forward before missing the back end of the season. Still does the odd idiotic blunder but overall his output is still fantastic.

They got Ottens and won 3 flags.

Its looking more and more like carlton MUST up their offer to around $1.5 for 7 or even 8 years to convince TDK to stay and not accept StKilda's offer and that is a huge commitment from carlton with the contracts that are in place

Will they do it ?
Can they afford to do it without losing key parts
