He's the Kmart version of Jackson.

Don't really understand the hype.

At 24 he's starting to enter his prime, but can't ever see him being anything other than a "good" player.

He's certainly no Dean Cox.

Carlton have failed to develop a lot of promising players.
If De Koning went to Sydney, no way he stagnates like he is.

Change of environment is what he needs.
Could see him pairing up with his brother at Geelong. Conway & Neale are their only ruck/forwards on the list and unless Sean Darcy asks to be traded, could very well be targeted down at the Cattery.

The way I read it atm

Talented player, shows potential, raw skills
At his age & development, would have expected 2 of the 3 above to be well & truly resolved

What at this point has held him back from reaching better heights?

There are concerns but I don’t think Carlton would have any issues getting a late first rounder at best

With Geelong getting a few younger players in last year, I can see us going after him (which is not a surprise given family connection)

Will be interesting to see how things progress for the remainder of the season with him but I feel there won’t be much change to what he is now.
Is that a concern for the future to who ever end up with him?

Is in that tricky spot where he is not quite a Ruckman and not good enough as a forward, and with Harry McKay as our 2nd forward there was always going to be limited opportunities for a player like TDK. I had hoped he would become like Tim English but it just doesn't seem to be tracking that way and doesn't have the tank and at 24 he should have built it by now.

The question now is has his worth stayed the same based on projected output, or has his worth plummeted on the back of a bit of a nothing year so far?

Always thought a end of 1st round pick coming into this year, but looking more like a mid 2nd the way he's going right now.

Maybe a pick in the 20-25 range, but couldn't see much more than that.

It'll be a F2

Unless carlton expect us to miss the finals next year i doubt they take that they would want an earlier r2. Maybe a future r2 + r3 with a r4 coming back (or something similar) would be right. Id be less inclined to pay a r1 for him now than i was a few months ago.

I would say with retirements they would expect us to miss finals
