Nah Gold Coast was his last game. He got a whopping one vote.
That is greater than zero but stillNah Gold Coast was his last game. He got a whopping one vote.

Yep, clearly we have differing opinions on what a big game is. I don't see 11 touches, 2 goals and 1 coaches vote a big game so we will have to just agree to disagree. This is what you stated…
“When has he actually played a "big game"?
50 games in, I don't think that has actually ever happened”
I’ve simply pointed out to you that the very last game he played, I would consider, imo, a “big game”. What big game means to me may differ from what it means to you, or the coaches, or the umpires, or the media, or anyone else.
What you see with TDK are mostly glimpses, but those glimpses are elite. On top of that, to me, he seems like he’s projecting to put it all together.
So for mine, I’d prefer to keep him. I think losing him for approximately pick 15-20 will end being a loss for us, and a win for whoever gets him.
As stats alone, I somewhat agree. Although you’re leaving out that 10 were contested. He also had 6 marks (3 contested).Yep, clearly we have differing opinions on what a big game is. I don't see 11 touches, 2 goals and 1 coaches vote a big game so we will have to just agree to disagree.
That might be exciting if he was making his debut but for a 24 year old ruck 50 games in that's just what is expected most weeks.
Hope for your sake he stays if that is how you feel.
I’d love to see these big games that he plays now and again. I’ve got Foxtel with game recall so if you can advise me which games I’ll go check them out. Thank you in advance.Plays a big game now and then but still purely based on potential
I've watched a lot of Carlton games and I'd hardly call him an impact player. I reckon I could count on one hand the amount of times he's genuinely impacted a game like those guys.As stats alone, I somewhat agree. Although you’re leaving out that 10 were contested. He also had 6 marks (3 contested).
But also if he did that every week he’d be just about all Australian.
Games, however, aren’t played on a stat sheet. He’s an impact player. Like C.Rioli, Nicnat etc. (not saying he is as good).
Well one of those games, was only a few weeks ago, which you’ve already shown you had no clue about, which tells me all I need to knowI've watched a lot of Carlton games and I'd hardly call him an impact player. He's a ruck. Most of his possessions should be contested because his number one job is in the contest. If he doesn't have non-contested possessions then he's probably one dimensionalAs stats alone, I somewhat agree. Although you’re leaving out that 10 were contested. He also had 6 marks (3 contested).

The number of people claiming that TDK is higher value than Esava Ratugolea is crazy.Im almost certain his trade value exists in the media along the lines of
Pick 15-20 if he has blonde hair
Pick 35-45 if he has brown hair

TDKs "big game" netted him 1 coaches vote and Savs "he did OK" game netted him 10.
TDK pick "late first round"
Sav pick "late second round"
Males with long hair, pony tails and man-buns I'd never trust. His hair is magnificent though.
Clearly you dont value the right things in a footballer
Maybe the cats are into something drafting so many kids with long blonde hair. If they ask for a trade we get a "golden" parachuteHis hair is magnificent though.

I'm going to sneak into his house and inject peroxide into his shampooWe're happy to take Holmes off ya. Brunette swine
Or better still, burn it down If he leaves.I'm going to sneak into his house and inject peroxide into his shampoo
Traditionally we only do this if he leaves for RichmondOr better still, burn it down If he leaves.
No clue about? I told you I watched that game and he wasn't remarkableWell one of those games, was only a few weeks ago, which you’ve already shown you had no clue about, which tells me all I need to know![]()
Who said he was remarkable? No clue about? I told you I watched that game and he wasn't remarkable
If you are gonna get a stiffy over a 24 year old getting 11 touches, 2 goals and one coaches vote then well done on being easily pleased.
He clearly had a huge impact in your 10 goal win
As for getting excited about a ruck getting 10 contested possessions in one game, Rowan Marshall averaged 11 at the same age so it's hardly an achievement. He was a rookie pick in the draft playing his first ever season as a genuine ruck.
How is comparing the player in subject to players that play the same position at the same age not relevant?Who said he was remarkable?
He said it was a big game. Nothing more.
We really don’t need to know what a football player’s big game does to your body. It’s strange you think we do.
Not sure Rowan Marshall is relevant to the thread. Literally nobody has compared the two so not sure why you’d bother.
Because the question isn’t who is worth more? How is comparing the player in subject to players that play the same position at the same age not relevant?
There’s a huge difference between “big game” and “special” and “remarkable”.A ruck getting 10 contested possessions in a game is nothing special, nor is it remarkable, nor is it a "big game".
Use whatever words you want.
The question isn't who is worth more, no. I've never suggested that.Because the question isn’t who is worth more?
Seems you may think TDK is on the same trajectory.
I don’t share that optimism but I’m hoping a club out there does.
There’s a huge difference between “big game” and “special” and “remarkable”.
Literally nobody said it was a remarkable performance. So why argue the point as though someone had?
The question isn't who is worth more, no. I've never suggested that.
But comparing players that play the same position at the age gives some kind of indication on their output.
I've said similar things on this thread many of times and that is that compared to most of the best rucks or forwards in the comp, TDK is behind almost all of them.
If all a fan has to hang their hat on as a big game is 11 touches, 10 contested, 2 goals and one coaches vote in a 10 goal belting you don't have a lot to show for a 24 year old.
Feel free to get petty with the language I used, we all know the first term used was big game and that's what we are discussing.
