He was excellent when compared to his previous games. Would be meh if Stanley played like that. Definitely an improvement though

Strange comment.

Hard to take you seriously if all you’re going to do is try and find inventive ways to talk him down.

He was excellent today. Couldn’t give a stuff about Stanley or anyone else, he’s not relevant.

I'm one of the few cats supporters that hopes he resigns. I'm bullish about our young developing ruck in Conway.

Don't want to be stuck paying a guy big money to play 2nd ruck and struggle in the forward line

So say that. There’s no need to talk down the performance unfairly.

You’d be very quick to have fun if he put in a poor performance; so credit should come when he puts in a good one.

If you can't see this kids potential footy might not be the sport for you.

Worth a first round pick in my opinion.

Plenty of players have that potential but they arent traded for a r1 especially while ooc. Tdk is no different.

McKay with a suspected ACL.
Carlton’s desire to keep him, and therefore asking price in return just went up exponentially.

Tdk is not a forward. I cant see how mckay has a bearing on anything.

Regardless hes ooc so you dont have a say in if he stays or goes-same with us and esava.

It’s not so much the say on if he stays or goes, it’s more the approach we make to structuring a contract offer, what has previously be a pretty modest offer for 2 years might increase slightly as well as length.
It will also dictate our willingness to trade friendly, Henderson/Tuohy style, or take a leaf out of Dodoro’s book.

And Jack Henry was drafted as a forward. So was Lachie Henderson and Harry Taylor.

Doesn't change that the above players aren't forwards when they start playing afl
TDK can play forward. Mckay, Curnow and Silvagni have been ahead of him for most of their careers so he's been used as a ruck. Same reason he's never played down back despite showing plenty of signs of being capable of it.

I look at that and see more of the same problem for us. He ain't playing forward for us any more than he's playing forward for you.

We genuinely only need a first ruck. If he ain't that then he ain't coming

Average player. Hopefully someone signs him for dumb money.

The problem is we're going to have to spend upwards of a year training the Carlton out of him. It's not easy turning back years of hapless development.

3rd round pick at best.

Ratugolea to Port
TDK and Port F3 to Geelong
Holmes and Cats first to Carlton

Holmes is the player to tie this deal together, with Cats first rounder being slight unders on its own.

Everybody wins.
please get me air.. i cant breathe....

The piss taking has sucked the air out of the room.

GO Catters

I didn't get the opportunity to watch his game against Port but it sounds like he played a good game.

One good game doesn't jump you 15 places in trade value but its a start. Also our first is starting look like it's getting later. Splitting a top 10 would still have been a bad idea when adding mids is more important. Splitting a late first round pick close to 20 is getting closer to the Stanley trade which most have been referencing so that seems to be in the realm of possibilities.

But, if there's a chance we get Bailey Smith and we can't have both then the argument to get TDK is a non-starter

He was literally drafted as a full time key forward

He might have been drafted as one but when you watch him he shows zero forward nous and craft. Hes much better in the ruck where you dont need craft around positional play and you can just use all your athletic attributes to contest the ball (hes very similar to stanley in this regard imo).
