Jaidyn Stephenson becomes the first Collingwood player to win the NAB AFL Rising Star award. The Magpies forward polled 52 votes to edge out Adelaide's Tom Doedee (42 votes).

IMO Stephenson had some really good games but also a lot of quiet games were he was gifted a goal or two whereas Doedee was probably the most consistent of all the nominations
