It's like we trade for them then realise, nope he's too short, or nope, he's tall enough but not quick enough. I've probably got it wrong but that's how it seems to me.

If we could get Frawly or Taylor or Hurley or the like then bring it on but it is never going to happen and even if it did it would cost too much.

I really don't see how this deal gets done unless you can trade someone to GWS , they have all the picks.

I actually think that the Hawks backline will be massively improved if Josh Gibson can be released - not dissimilar to the role Scarlett is now playing. To do this the Hawks need a couple to stand up and do the shut down roles - hopefully Gilham and Shoenmakers.

Have you seen Shoenmakers & Lisle play? Shoenmakers got beaten easily. Lisle did not play that much but lacks pace.

I think we do need a KPP.

Can someone tell me how St Kilda got Saad (best VFL player) who kicked 50 goals and another small fwd for virtually nothing. They gave pick 20 to GWS and got pick 25.

If going by that, we should have got
a) Tim Mohr- best KPP in VFL (195 cm, 98Kg), Full back for HFC, has speed and good in the air and kick 60 metres
b) Saad- best VFL player, kicked 50 goals

given our 1st round pick and got 2nd round pick from GWS.

That would have solved our full back and small forward problem. Then we would not be chasing campbell of Nth Melb and as far as full backs, well there isn't anyone to chase around for that. Gillies- Geelong is too short and 10 kg light to be full back to take on geelong/collingwood fwds.

Now compare that to what we gave up for Gunston, first round pick and our 2nd and 3rd round picks being downgraded by 7 spots.

Am I missing something or what St Kilda got is what we should have got, they got an absolute bargain, almost for free.
