Fresh after being touched up by the Doggies in round 1.

The Cats have named Tom Hawkins (a teenager) who has had an interrupted pre season for their round 2 clash against the in form blues.

What do you think of the move?

A good move. The Geelong forward line has been a complete disaster for a long time now, seems a logical move to include him. :)

The Bulldogs are pretty much a KP-forward-free-zone. :)
The blues are pretty much a win free zone. How can you constantly pump up a team that has doing nothing?

Dennis Pagan= spoonman. Hardly a top line coach, why do you continue to top of his bank balance.

Good move - The kid is bloody enormous, so it's not as though he's going to be bullied on the field, or hurt by the bigger bodies, so the only thing that can happen is he will get valuable experience at AFL level.

He's going to be playing AFL footy for a long time, so it makes sense to get experience into him as quickly as possible.

Nice to see a common sense reply. Thompson historically is a very conservative coach - I'm still amazed he's dropped two relatively experienced players for two debutants.

We have to take risks to move forward. Hawkins will learn a lot faster in the seniors than the reserves.

ottens, hawkins, n.ablett, gardiner and mooney

too top heavy
If Ottens plays ruck, and Mooney plays around the ground, it'll be about right.

Gardiner is more a medium-sized forward, and Hawkins will only play part of the game.
