Just wondering if anyone knows how Tommy Hislop is goin at bomberland? I was stoked when we picked him up, as i have heard he is in the JJ mould. I heard i few Essendon people say at the start of the year that he will play a fair bit of senior footy this year as he has a pretty mature body and plus the guy has aleady played a full year of senior footy at Tassie in the VFL.

I realise he is suspended for the first round but im just wondering why his name hasn't been mentioned recently when talking about the youngsters who will get a fair bit of footy for the dons this year?

I think the reason he doesn't get much of a mention is because at the moment we have a few guys that play his position and do it well. His strengths don't actually make us a better side at the moment in the mould Davey/Jetta do with their speed.

He's been pretty impressive at times and he's going to be a pretty good footballer for us, but I think at the moment he's competing with JJ, Watson, Peverill and the like for a spot and they're all ahead of him. Lonergan probably is as well.

He would probably only break through if there were injuries in the side for this year. I hope he can become a major player though, because we got some really good pickups in the draft and I think he was one of them

He's only a kid anyways...would be happy to allow him to cut his teeth in the VFL for a year or two. Our list is currently well stocked for most positions at the minute.

he hasn't played for bendigo for a few weeks. he has been training with the modified group recently. his injury wasn't too serious though
