My stream froze with gaff becking back for the ball and jonas charging at it. I immediately thought "when this loads, gaff is going to be laying flattened on the ground". and he was.
That said, it was reckless, and incredibly clumsy. You just cannot flatten blokes who are coming back with the flight of the ball unless you impact the contest yourself. give him 6 weeks

I haven't read the whole thread, so excuse me if this has been mentioned before. The moment I saw it, I was reminded of Mark Bickley doing similar to a Port player in a Showdown a few years ago. For memory Bickley got 5 or 6 weeks.

Personally think the frustration with the poor umpire performances are having an effect on players. Actual softies like you like to talk about may not get fired up, but determined players are taking it out on the field. Umpiring standards have never been worse and I don't know why unless it's rule changes as they are paid well.

Mate I played and can say I was reported but never for hitting someone from behind that is the ultimate in a soft C... I was happy to stand toe to toe. There will always be reports but those who hit people when they have no idea it is coming are the ultimate softest players going around, so sorry if I'm calling Jonas out, but just saying it like it is!

Huge risks, but to hit someone from behind when they don't know it's coming is just soft because they can't face up to the person. It wasn't clumsy he knew full well what he was doing, as Rance did a few weeks ago. And go out and publlicly apologise. Would expect Jonas to do the same. If he doesn't I would question the character of the guy!
