Under the matrix they use, it is plausibe.
Deliberate, high, but what is the severity of the impact. If its deemed medium level impact, its two weeks.

imo, it shows the limitations of the current classifications. Something like that should be graded separately from things like dangerous tackles that are an unfortunate part of play.

Anywhere 6-8 is probably fair, but won't be likely. Possible if straight to tribunal as severe impact or other reasons.
Yeah that’s a fair point , the impact and any concussion if any will play more towards the punishment than the act itself

It really needs to change

If it’s referred straight to the tribunal they can assign however many games they see fit, without needing to abide by a matrix.

Equally extraordinary justification getting his coach Adam Yze:

"In the moment, as a coach, you're disappointed. Because a few of them, we had possession and we were out and we're finally looking like we're going to execute, and his frustration spills over.

But in saying that, we're going to seek clarification on the marking contests, because he's such a big man, and they do scrag him, and he's feeling like he's getting held. Then he doesn't, and the ball goes down the other end and we give away three free kicks in aerial contests, in one passage of play."

Should we be shocked? They have a equally disgusting POS in Balta still playing. Joke of a club defending these criminals.

If you saw the game you wouldn't be shocked at all. Umpiring of Lynch was very inconsistent.

Saw it, nothing that other forwards don't get on a regular basis. Lynch actually backs into his defenders often looking to wrestle.

Telling that you're justifying assault even if he was hard done by.

Jon Ralph and Jhye Clarke want 4 weeks for this. What a joke.

Probably 6 weeks, although who knows. Depends what club you play for really, and Richmond aren’t at the pointy end of the ladder. If you’re the team on top, 0 weeks, down the bottom 6. The system is cooked.
Very simplistic, erroneous explanation, and totally without any basis. Perhaps think a bit harder before making nonsensical assertions which you cannot prove.

After your numerous deplorable posts advocating violence in the Suns/Demons match day thread, and other threads, you have zero credibility when commenting on such issues.

I watched Josh Kennedy get manhandled for 14 years and never once saw him throw a haymaker at a defender.

Stop defending the coward.

Please. Go and read the Richmond board, it’s very enlightening. If you do you’ll learn that this was all the fault of:

1) the AFL
2) the umpires - over his whole career
3) Craig McRae

It was absolutely not the fault of:

1) Tom Lynch

Unbelievable

Pointing out the umpiring was Poor isn't justifying anything. Players need to control their emotions far better than that. He'll get his whack which he deserves, which has been a long time coming.

But just because Lynch did a bad thing doesn't mean the Umpires don't deserve their own scrutiny.
