Pies on receiving end of Grubby Allan. Best
We should have a statue of Grubby at punt road. Derailed our deal for Treloar by telling the Pies what we were offering, who then offered Treloars girlfriend 500k to play Solitaire on a PC in some office. After we were left at the altar, we go and get premiership heroes Dan Rioli and Dion Prestia with the picks we would have given for Treloar. Grubby then gets the Pies free agents Wells and Mayne on million dollar contracts, before leaving in disgrace. Now he's back trolling the Pies by offering 5 mill for Degoey.

I agree he hasn’t looked great recently but his talent and star factor are 100% there, he has been doing it in a crap team his whole career.

Think we have to back in the development and coaching group to fix those perceived issues such as tackling and ruckwork. He isn’t gonna come into our side and see a guy like JR busting his arse to pressure/lay a tackle and not see that’s the expected level of effort. He has been earmarked as a leader from day dot.

It also gives Balta, CCJ, Miller and to a lesser extent Moore time to improve and grow into a system. You look at players like D. Moore, Schache, Boyd and guys who didn’t make it like Butcher and realised it’s a big step for KPF from state leagues and junior footy to AFL.

FWIW I think Lynch has ruined his asking price a bit, 2-3 years ago watching him I was in no doubt he was the best young KPF in the league but injuries and the complete ineptitude of GC has derailed him. Would only be giving him a mill a year with incentives, base of 7-800k.
Finally a post that isn't complete an utter rubbish in this thread. Tom Lynch is ******* star who is sick of busting his ass for a side he has no intentions of playing for beyond this season. All these so called criticisms of his game couldn't be any further from the truth. Lack of work rate? Injury free he is hardest working forward in the competition. Doesn't tackle? averaged 1.9 last season and he absolutely loves smashing blokes into the ground, which he can be prone to giving away silly free's as a result but the idea that he doesn't tackle is ridiculous. Doesn't ruck? This is the only one that is true but even so there is a very good reason for it, that being he doesn't have to, Gold Coast play with at least 2 tall forwards every week and have Day or Wright to go into the ruck when Witts needs a rest.

But the most ridiculous notion people seem to be sprouting is the idea Lynch will ruin our game plan. The reason our game plan become more successful at the back end of last season was we finally were playing with 22 blokes capable of playing their role, it took us 17 games of time wasting from Soldo, Griffiths and Elton to realise we were better off playing small instead of tall but realised it at the right time. Now if you add a player like Tom Lynch you're not only adding a player capable of playing his role but adding player who makes others around them better and will take the opposition best defender every week. That means Jack gets of the leash, it means the smalls can't be made void whenever we play a good intercepting team and aren't winning the ball out of the middle. Tom Lynch doesn't make our game plan worse, he makes it even harder to counter and should we get his signature without giving up too much then we are for sure going to competing for the flag whilst our current big 4 remain together.

Has everyone forgotten Griffiths left us after the drafts and we are actually short a KPF? Or that since he appeared the best Young forward in the competition he has had O’Meara, Ablett, Prestia, Matera, Bennell, Caddy and others all leave a depleted side incapable of decent service into the forward 50 how often per game?
The guys a star. If the club can fit him in then I’ll be delighted.
Fits a need and Jack isn’t around forever

He won’t ruin our game plan , with the mooted changes , tall forwards will be favoured more than ever with less congestion those that don’t have one will be left behind . I’m easy if we don’t get him , my only concern is tpp pressure , I trust balmey knows what he’s doing
