If i was the Gold Coast recruiting manager or list manager

I would offer De Goey $1.2 mil a year and tell Collingwood if you dont want us to match the Lynch free agency deal then let de goey go for pick #21 other wise we match and demand 2 x top 10 picks.

Let them sweat

Everyone still jumping at shadows aka when any tweet about Lynch hits the interwebz?

Lynch's surgery doesn't mean anything other then, he's having surgery. Lynch's mind is made up and the lucky clubs is aware of his choice. The media like to paint a picture that it's a live race and his destination changes regularly because they have no idea and need to fill papers.

Don't get me wrong, we all love speculating but its just a waiting game as his decision is made. He won't announce it until his new clubs season is over.

So you'll know if he's joining Collingwood by early September.... unfortunately you'll have to wait until the first week of October if he's joining Richmond ;)

Lynchs season is over. In for surgery. Cherry ripe for preseason.

Trouble getting Lynch now is too injury prone.

Not getting any younger either.

Would not surprise me if the club looked at other targets now.

Averaging just over 16 games a season for 8 years atm, not sure he is as durable as Franklin either.

PCL injuries are *relatively* minor (at least as far as Knee injuries go)

Sure there are variations, but I had one (motorbike crash) and was hiking through a rainforest in Uganda a few months later, and Lynch is younger, fitter and getting a hell of a lot better medical care than I got. I dare say he'll be fine by November/Pre-season.

Complex salary cap planning hey?

Tom Brown is a twit.

It's been widely known that Collingwood have salary cap issues. They got in Mayne, Wells and Greenwood in on big dollars. Had to give Cox a big pay rise as Brisbane came sniffing.

So what have they done? Freed up some dollars to backload a few contracts. Very complex Tom, hope I'm not moving too fast for you.

You see the thing is Tom, the money doesn't disappear. The problem just gets pushed back. That too complex for ya Tom? Moron.
