Definitely looks like he's leaving imo.
Getting surgery now lets GC play with their forward line without him and he doesn't have to answer questions before and after every game. Can keep a low profile (well more than if he was playing).
Benefits club and player.

I just hope it's us who gets him.

I'm just staggered that so many posters here think Lynchy would be a walk up start in our 22, which let's face it, has dominated all-comers in recent times and doesn't have an obvious weak link.
I don't think the club will bother drafting him if he's not a walk up start. Not on that coin. But maybe he'll go to Collingwood instead?

I'm interested in his free kick differential.
If any of the dozens who trawl through the stats can tell us how many free kicks he gives away on average.
We get reamed by the umpires every week .... every week. Let's not bring in a guy who will only draw more attention to our plight.

Everyone still jumping at shadows aka when any tweet about Lynch hits the interwebz?

Lynch's surgery doesn't mean anything other then, he's having surgery. Lynch's mind is made up and the lucky clubs is aware of his choice. The media like to paint a picture that it's a live race and his destination changes regularly because they have no idea and need to fill papers.

Don't get me wrong, we all love speculating but its just a waiting game as his decision is made. He won't announce it until his new clubs season is over.

So you'll know if he's joining Collingwood by early September.... unfortunately you'll have to wait until the first week of October if he's joining Richmond ;)
Except Tiger71, the bringer of mail, called that he would go under the knife and sit the season out. #itshappening

Lol arguably the best KPF in the game over the last five years...one of a top few. People writing him off as no good have to be taking the Mickey. He would dominate with our supply.

Really dont believe we need Lynch to be honest, Im really liking the way our KPF are developing in the reserves playing the Richmond style football

Coleman-Jones plays foward and regularly kicks goals and is a fantastic mark and when he has played ruck has been very very impressive for a 1st year kid
Noah Balta , The signs are he is going to be very special player and an aerobic physical beast that can play just about any position
Moore , Has shown very good signs in the seniors and also plays to a high level regularly in the 2's and is coming along nicely
Chol has taken a big step foward this year until getting injured and was on the cusp of a senior game

All the above player will be that much more advanced in 12 months time with another preseason and learning

I really dont believe we are 'Desperate' For Lynch and would be better served investing in the midfield

Oh, Gun, you're deluded if you think any of those boys could give us close to what Lynch will over the next five years, when this Golden Generation is at its zenith. Strike now, iron's hot. Lynch wants to come, we put out the welcome mat and win a couple more flags.
What if we win 5 more flags without him?

We'll get him as a free agent, just watch. Gold Coast will finish bottom 2 and cop the compo.
I wouldnt count on that and we need to factor in that there is a very real chance that if Lynch selects Richmond its going to cost us and free agency would be great but no guarantee.

You seem very certain the young KPP i mentioned wont offer us anything for a while, Did you watch tonights game ?
What was your thoughts on McCartin he was the youngest player drafted last year and just 1 more week he would have been playing TAC cup this year

Remember Richo ? He did ok for a 2nd year player as well as both the Riewoldts

Im not saying that i dont want Lynch at all but i would hate to be in a position like the Hawks were last year selling the farm for 1 player whilst paying

Last nights game clearly told me we don’t need him as he doesn’t actually suit our game plan. To me we need a flexible mobile type to assist Jack and the reality is Townsend would be a better option than Lynch. Even JR after the game said that he likes to get the ball down to the mozzies, although he did practically mark everything that came within metres of him. Our team looked a million bucks with Prestia back who was the mfer we needed back all year. Higgins is also developing well, but Conca is sadly physically unreliable so an inside mf bull needs to be sourced. I can’t see what Lynch will add to us that will improve us , but he could actually take away our scoring options by over congestion of the forward line. IMO we actually need a bloke to assist Nakkers more than Jack and we have those blokes developing on our list.

Did I watch tonight's game? I was at it, mate! We saw an exhibition from one of the great key forwards. Imagine him with another very good one as support!

I am very positive about Balta and CJ in particular, but they are years off being consistent senior AFL players, let alone stars. Lynch is a star.

Gold Coast won't match, take it to the bank.
