Mistake imo. Reward the players who won us our first flag in 37 years. Develop the kids. What would I know about list management though. I was happy to trade all our big 4 after 2016 and rebuild.
It is a tricky one - we would unquestionably be top-heavy in pay scale with Lynch, and would inevitably lose a few players. On the other hand key forwards don't grow on trees and Reiwoldt isn't getting any younger. We would be a scary team for the next 2-3 years

I say if we can get him slightly unders, get it done

Only concern with Lynch is how it will effect our forward pressure with two talls running around. Right now our game plan is based around putting defenders under the pump so they’re forced to bomb it long, where it gets cut off by Rance , Vlastuin and co.

Replace one of Butler, Castagna, Rioli, Caddy or Townsend with Lynch and it makes it a lot easier to run it out of the backline.
Imagine Cotch,Dusty,Prestia etc having to decide do i go left too Jack or right to Lynch.Oh btw when Dusty is resting up fwd.;):D

Developing kids is vital but it took recruiting Prestia, Caddy and Nank to win a Premiership.

Development takes time and our window is now.

I get what your saying but is he really that good? I know he’s a bit off Broadway but I just don’t see a $1m a season player. Our list is brimming with young talent. I’d rather see Balta or Coleman-Jones given a red hot crack before we throw all our cash at one guy who hasn’t really proven himself. Has Tom Boyd written all over this.

Lynch would be a great fit for us right now. He'd add another target and create even more forward pressure because he'd bring the ball to ground or mark it. AND it'd free JR up. I'd love to have JR playing wherever he wanted to. I reckon he'd become so dangerous if he could play a more free roaming game.

Wouldn't see Towno nailing guys so much - that's a big down for the deal. :D

THE younger sister of Gold Coast spearhead Tom Lynch will line up for Richmond in its inaugural VFLW match this weekend.
Bethany Lynch trialled with the Tigers in December.

While extremely raw, Richmond was impressed with Lynch’s freak athleticism and was named on the club’s 2018 playing list on Wednesday evening.

At 173cm, the soon-to-be 21-year-old is expected to play on the wing, but has the size to push to a key position.

Richmond was offered an AFLW licence for 2020, but will field a VFLW team for the next two seasons in the meantime.

Collingwood marquee player and ruck Emma King signed with the Tigers, a massive coup for the club given the Magpies have a VFLW team.

Fellow Magpies Amelia Barden and Lauren Tesoriero will also line up for Richmond, as will GWS Giant Louise Stephenson.

Tom Lynch will become a free agent at the end of this season and has been linked to a move back home to Victoria.

Richmond, Collingwood and Hawthorn are leading the race to secure the Sorrento product.

And if he does, indeed, become a Tiger then it will be a brother-sister double at Punt Road.

Richmond’s VFLW season kicks off on Saturday against the Western Bulldogs at Whitten Oval.

First we had the friendship connection with Prestia and Caddy, now we have the familial connection.

I think it will definitely be an interesting year.

All the indicators are pointing to Tom being a tiger, the interesting part of this is the time of the announcement regarding his sister.
It seems to me that RFC are conditioning the public that it's going to happen and he will be a Tiger.

Tom is off for 4 weeks due to injury
Announcement of his sister is now a tiger

It's all adding up.

Geez a lot of our blokes will be chased with offers I reckon.
Don’t be silly, our “role” players are least talented of all time and would struggle in another system. No one will want them.
